Us together???

Chapter 6

Writer's POV:
After Roomie entered the car, there was an awkward silence...They could actually hear the sound of each other's breathing pattern.
Joseph cleared his throat to make the environment a bit comforting/normal but it didn't help.

Roomie: So, where are we going???"

 Joseph: I don't know

Roomie: What do you mean by" I don't know" wasn't this supposed to be planned?

Joseph: Ya... but... well I am not someone who goes to date on regular basis..unlike you...

Roomie: Excuse me... how can you even say that...this is my first date which is with you. I HAVE NOT DATED ANYONE BEFORE. 

Joseph: NEITHER DID I.

Roomie: Ok so...what should we do now?
Joseph: Let's just drive and if any place looks interesting we will go there...what do you think.
Roomie: Ya sure.

(Skip driving)
After driving for like 20mins, they ended up going to a restaurant, they have never been to before. They sat down on a vacant dining table. A few mins later a waiter comes, pours water in the glasses which were on the table, and then gives the menu card.

Roomie: What should we order?

Joseph:  What do you want to eat?

Roomie: To be honest, I have never tried anything from here before...I'll just have whatever you order.

Joseph: Ok then... 

Joseph: Waiter 

Waiter: yes sir...

Joseph: We would want to place an order.

Waiter: ok. 

Joseph: Before that may I know what does XX dish consists of

Waiter: It consists of chickpeas, carrots,.......and mushrooms

Roomie: Can you suggest any dish which does not consist of mushrooms cause he is allergic to it.

Waiter: Ok let me see... this one YY does not consist of mushrooms and is also one of the best dishes served in our restaurant 

Roomie: What do think?

Joseph: Sounds delicious, two serves of YY.

Waiter: Ok... so two serves of YY. would you like to have any drink...

Joseph: Two sprite

Waiter: Ok...anything else

Joseph: No.

Waiter: Ok...so let me repeat the order" two serves of YY, and two glasses of sprite" the order will be served in a few mins. till then please make yourself comfortable 

The waiter left.

Joseph: So what do you do for a living...as in what did you do after graduating from college...

Roomie: Well Sheri and I started a cafe. 

Joseph: Sheri is your best friend right...

Roomie: Yes, she is one of my best friends... I heard that you are going to be the CEO of the DAWN  industry.

Joseph: Yes... after graduating from I started working, I actually like their cool staff. one of my friends also works with me.

The waiter brings the food which was ordered. They both love it. While Joseph was eating his meal, he stops and looks at Roomie. He realizes that Roomie remembers that he is allergic to mushrooms. Roomie looks at Joseph and catches him staring at her. Joseph looks away.

Roomie: Is something wrong?

Joseph: No nothing.

After completing the meal, the waiter comes and servers them two bowls of ice cream.

Joseph: I am sorry but we didn't order this...

Manager: It's complimentary... every week on this day we serve a cute couple with ice cream.

Roomie: That's so sweet... thank you.

Manager: Please enjoy the ice cream

After finishing the ice cream. They paid the bill. Later they decided to go for a walk in a park which was near. They didn't talk much but they both were comfortable with each other's presents. Later they both sat in the car. Joseph drove towards Roomies house so that he can drop her back home.

<at Roomies house>

Joseph stopped the car near her gate. 

Roomie: Thank you for today. and also sorry for yelling at you today.

Joseph: No I was wrong too, I should have planned things before.

Roomie: It's okay, Today was fun too...

Joseph smiles at her. Roomie  shocked and was lost in his smile. She snapped out of her thought. 

Roomie: Bye see you soon

Joseph: Bye.

She unlocked the door. to get out but then stopped. she turned around and kiss Joseph on his cheek.

Roomie: Bye

She then got out of the car and went inside the house

ROOMIE'S POVwere. 

 <After the kiss>

OMG. What was I thinking!!!! 

JOSEPH'S POV

<After the kiss>

What just happened...did she just kiss my cheek. 

WRITER'S POV

Joseph started driving to go home... but he was still thinking about her. Once he reached home. He took his mobile out messaged  Roomie.

"You were looking beautiful today... goodnight."

 Meanwhile, Roomie blushed looking at the message she received. 

She replied, Good Night, Handsome...

<at night >

Both of them could not sleep, they both were thinking about each other.
