Us together???

Chapter 2

That guy is not a stranger to me. In fact, he was my best friend in school days but later on, I started developing feelings towards him. I don't know what happened, he started treating me as if I don't exist. Since he didn't answer my calls and kept on ignoring me, I too started to ignore him. But every time when he ignored, I felt needles getting stabbed in my heart.

THAT JERK!!!!

I still don't know his reason for hating me so much. The same continued in high school. Anyways I don't care about him but I care about my family and that matters the most. I decided to get married to them. I closed my eyes and I try to calm myself.

<Next Morning>

I woke up it was 8:00 am. I have to reach the café by 10:00. I do my daily routine. I get ready and I still had enough time as it was still 8:45. I step outside my room and I see my mom and dad sit in the dining room having breakfast. I smile at their cute arguments about silly things.

Once I wished to have such relationships with my future...but NO, my life always takes a turn and twists me back to reality. After my mom and dad finished their argument. My mom asked me "So honey! What is your decision about marriage?" I accept the marriage proposal" as I said that look on her face changed; she was sad. Mom, I know you are against this decision. But I am doing this for you guys.

After I finish my breakfast, I was about to leave for work but then my dad asked me to come with him. We were sitting in his study room or one can also say his office. "Are you sure you want me to sign the contract?" He asked "Yes" I replied. "Even though you hate him?" the worry was wondering all over his face. "I know I hate him but I have seen these industries starting from scratch and I don't think it deserves a loss. I have seen you working day and night. This is industry was your dream and I don't think I want to ruin your dream by not signing the contract and make it a nightmare." "But honey..." He holds my hand." Dad! I love my family. I can do anything for the people I love and for people who love me"

My dad gave me a hug. It's been a while since I got the warmest and safe bearhug for him. Then he placed his hands on my shoulders and said "I am so lucky to have a daughter like you"

"No, I am lucky to have a father like you" we chuckled. Then he took his phone to call someone "Hello...Good morning this is Mr. Shine. Ya about the marriage proposal, my daughter is willing to marry your son. Okay...so tonight at 8:30 evening...okay...Thank you." He ended the call.

"Let me guess! They are invited to today's dinner?" I asked. He smiled and nodded. He gave me one last hug and I left for work. Today I am happy cause I made my parents happy and also a bit worried about the upcoming events.

At the café, I meet one and only Sheri Kato. She is the only person who knows every single thing about me. We have been friends since childhood. She is like a big sister to me even though she is three to four months elder than me. We both own the café.

When I saw her, she was curious and worried "are you okay? Why were you not answering my calls last night?" she asked. "I was tired," I said. But she was not convinced by my reply. "I will tell you everything during the break time." She nodded and we started walking towards the café. We greeted our staff and got busy with the café staff.

<During the break>

I tell Sheri everything...

Like seriously everything...all about marriage stuff. How I am scared about my future with the guy I hate the most. When I told her about my decision to marry him, she gave me a hug. I felt her crying on my shoulder. Then I made her face me and I see a puppy dog face with her eyes swollen. she wipes her tears away and says "I don't what you to marry the son of a ..." before she could say those good words, I covered her mouth. "I know that. Do you think I want to spend the rest of my life with him? No. Whatever I am doing is for my family"

"But I will miss you," she said in a sad tone. "Bro! I am not gonna go somewhere on a different planet which is galaxies far away. Even after marriage, I am still continuing with café" when I said that her eyes were shining. It was just looking as if a kid got his toy back.

"Really?" she questioned and I nodded. "If that jerk tries to hurt you just give me a call," she said with an angry look on her face. "why? What will you do?" "I will break his bones!" that's my Sheri.

< After work >

We were walking down the streets. We met Smith Aniston. He is one of my friends from college. We greeted each other. Then suddenly I remember something so I asked Sheri "you wanted to tell me something today in the morning, am I right?" "yes, about that well... I am dating someone..." she said with a smile on her face. "Really? Who is that unlucky guy? Just kidding! Tell me who are you dating with?"

She just wrapped her hand around Smith. "OMG! Are you serious?" they nodded and said, "We are dating." I always used to ship you guys. "I am happy for you!" I said and gave them a hug

Smith and Sheri are like north and south, they may be on a different side but can not leave each other. After some time, I left to go home saying that I had some work to do which is true in some way and also, I wanted to give them privacy too.

< Reaching home >

I go to my room, take a quick shower, wear a nice decent one piece and went downstairs I was about to ask my parents about them (i.e. Dawn Family), but then I heard the doorbell ring. This indicates that they arrived. My mom is greeting the guest. I smile at Mr. and Mrs. Dawn, then my eyes met a familiar pair of brown eyes that had a usual cold expression. He is none other than Joseph Dawn, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Dawn and my future husband...
