I was continuously pacing around the desks as Tia, my roommate kept refreshing the mailbox in my laptop. Today I am supposed to receive the mail which will decide my fate. Whether I will be staying in Cannes or moving in to my dream city, Paris and working as a Junior Stylist at the S8s'.
It has been my passion to style. And since middle school I always imagined myself as the future manager of the S8 Fashion House. They have been on the top since the last decade. But the offer of working at the S8s' as a Junior Stylist is like a once in a lifetime shot.
"OH MY GOD !" I was pulled away from my train of thoughts by a high pitched Tia. "YOU GOT IN!" she continued with her eyes glued to the screen
Oh, I got in- wait a second "I GOT WHAT?" I screamed the last part out, my eyes almost popping out of my sockets. I stumbled down to her bed and turned the screen to me. There it is. The mail said
Dear Ms. Grey,
Your eagerness towards our company has happened to catch our attention. The CV attached to your form and your skills were convincing enough for us to grant you the position of the Junior Stylist at S8s. We seek your presence at our office on the coming Tuesday during our official hours for having a proper conversation.
Hope you are having a good day.

Oh My God. She isn't lying! I really got in. I shut my laptop and sharply turned my head towards Tia. She had a big grin plastered on her face. Her brown glittery eyes and red waves surrounding her fair heart shaped face seem extra beautiful whenever she smiles like this. God, Tia has been always the one to keep me pushing for applying numerous times. This won't have been done if Tia wasn't there. I hugged her tightly as she hugged me back.
"Stylist at S8s huh?" she teased me with her sweet voice.
"Junior and just an intern" I corrected her returning her smile.
She playfully rolled her eyes and let out a giggle "Whatever" and tucked a strand of hair back of mu ear . I shrugged out of her bed and looked at myself in the mirror
My straight caramel hair hanging loose till mid-back. My green flecked hazel eyes shining with hope and a small smile across my neutral warm skinned face.
Next Tuesday, today's Wednesday. Which gives me 5 days to get prepared. Tia said the tickets will be ready by Friday and a hotel booked within Sunday. Perks of being the Mayor's daughter. I blocked out Tia's blabber about my bad fashion sense that only happen to bloom out when I get myself ready and intently searched in my eye for any doubt regarding my choices. I shook my head before I could see any and let out a long breathe.
A bit too away from Mum and Dad but that's for the best. You can do it Annie. I giggled how the nickname my brother gave always gives me more confidence. God I miss Aiden the most.
I sighed before finally looking at the mirror again Yes. I can do it. I will do it.
