MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS (1969-1974)
Flying circus is regarded as the tv show that change British comedy forever it's wild and wacky sketches made the pythons become cult legends of Comedy,the wild cartoons of Terry Gilliam also help Monty Python achieve cult status as no other comedy show did this. even though Flying circus was the first time the pythons Michael Palin, John Cleese,Graham Chapman, Terry Jones, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam had ever worked together as a comedy group python still became known as a great comedy achievement. The team did 4 series the first 3 Series contained 13 shows and the 4th series contained 6 and did not include John Cleese as he had left but continued to contribute to the writing of the 6 shows.

The fish slapping dance
The barber shop/the lumberjack song
The Spanish Inquisition
The dirty fork
Self -defence against fresh fruits
And nudge nudge to name a few.
In fact python became so popular in Germany that German television ask the pythons to do 2 special episodes especially for German audiences in 1971 Eric Idle said this was because Germans had no sense of humour.
