The meaning of life (1983) was the python's last film, in this film the pythons returned to a sketch format following the different stages of life. The film was made with a budget of £9 million. However the film may not have been made this was due to the pythons not liking their material as they had no idea what the film was going to be about so the pythons continue to write sketches hoping they could find a subject. Many subjects were suggested like ww3 until someone, non of the pythons could decide exactly who, came up with the meaning of life.however when in Jamaica (where they wrote the film) Terry Jones said we've got 60 minutes of material we just have to write another 30 minutes and we'll have a film. And that's exactly what happened Terry Jones directed the film and was soon released. Although The least favourite of the pythons it still made millions at the box office. And even won second place and Cannes film festival even though at previews of the film many people left the cinema's.
When the film was first released it had a 18 certificate this was because of the frontal nudity, violence, and swearing. Now the certificate has been reduced to a 15.
