Huh.

It had been 20 minutes, and Bakugo still hadn't heard his screen door open again.

Was Deku still out there on his porch? It was an uncomfortably humid night, and it wasn't like him to stay up past 9:00pm.

So, Bakugo raised himself out of his bed and sauntered out into the living-room, where he could already see that his porch was empty. He immediately became uncomfortable, and slightly worried.

Baseline things he has always known to be true about Deku:

-He is never late.

-He likes to be on time.

-He always tells people where he is going and when.

Present time: 8:30 pm

Deku had decided on a plan which in theory seemed easy enough; but really put him on edge.

It would be like any other exchange; same type of flower same time same way. But this time he was going to have to speak to the man. The same man whose crimes have had countless victims, surely some of which were more powerful than Deku. But what made the plan better than the others he'd concocted, was that he knew the layout and inner workings of the building: he knew some of the guards as well. He had been building up to this moment.

Deku felt his heart, pounding like it was eager to rip out of his chest.

This was no time for him to think he packed the flowers and some dishware from Bakugo's kitchen which he had gathered just after dinner. The plan was to do everything up front. Come to the front doors as usual, Nod to the guards and smile sweetly. One would walk on his right, the other in the left.

Easy enough.

Deku climbed on to his delivery bike, and made his way through the streets, a look of determination and fear on his face. The place was only a few blocks from his, so the swiftness of his bike and his heart both increased as he rode off to the building.

Furiously Bakugo made his way; painfully to the dainty flower shop across the block. Walking still hurt his leg, not to mention the cast made it severely difficult. But something was up with the idiot Deku.

Why leave in the middle of the night of all things? Have I made him uncomforable somehow?

...

Idiot.

Deku stood; easing himself off of his bike. In front of the huge building, which loomed over him; threatening his confidence.

He nodded toward the men at the front door who searched him.

"What is this for, kid?" The tall guard whose voice Deku had never actually heard eyed the cups and teapot in his hands.

"I.."

You can do this Izuku..

"Well I-"

Deep breaths.

One deep breath and finally the words came out, shivering but strong.

"I want to serve tea to...him today." The guards eyes peered at him as if to peer through his facade. "As a thank you for allowing me to send flowers."

.
.
.

"Whatever. You can ask him but I'm not sure he cares about a toddler like yourself."

I'm in...

And with a bit of a lingering worry, Deku followed the guards into what felt like the turning point for the rest of his life.

I..I did it *drags self off of the floor hold up a measly 500 words to you* I hope this will suffice for now. I have been dealing with my dropout from college, trying to get medication for my bipolar and a new factory job. Please forgive my absence. I see that a lot of people really like this book! I am flattered and as with my other stories I cannot see myself leaving any of them unfinished. I will write more!
