5. A Hut

Measely to say, walking in a forest all alone and wounded.. is actually dangerous, even if he's a man nevertheless

Though..

Like a dog, Yeontan growled viciously towards their surrounding

He did that from time to time.. resting on Taehyung's shoulder

While Tae just awkwardly smiles it off at first, but after few times seeing it, he somehow got used

' its like he's guarding me off some beasts lurking in the forest '

They had walked further from the direction Taehyung had escaped to few nights before

Had he gone to south, he would have found the run down shed from before, but this time, he had plans

" Time to go north.. to the town "

Its a 3 days length to reach.. by carriage

Through walking ? Who knows..

Yeontan kept on nudging its head towards Taehyung's cheek, seeing how the boy walked limply.. slowly

Yet he didnt stop

" Its okay, im just a bit tired.. " he smiled

1 hour passed by.. 2 hours passed by..

By then, he felt like something had gone wrong

" ... I think we're lost.. " Taehyung worryingly said

The path to the forest, didnt have any pathway, since he knew which direction to take, Tae took a shortcut through the thick trees

If he had gone to find the roadway, it would take even more time, and who knows if he could survive by then

No shelter, no water... Though food seems to be available as Yeontan would sometime hop off his shoulder

Going somewhere, only to find the boy again, bringing various meat

Sometimes rabbits, even rats and squirrel

Funnily, the small dragon only managed to catch small creatures

Yet, succeed to scare off other creatures to protect its master

" Wait.. whats... "

His brows frowned, when a view of a hut, were seen

Its more likely a place to live, though its quite big, there seems to be something on the front yard

Slowly and cautiously, he walked to the front

And gasped when he saw the blacken corpse.. skeleton corpse.. tied to a pole

From the looks of it, with some few weaves of hair still stuck on the skull, the victim seems to be a woman

Blacken ground, and bones..

The boy couldnt help to shed a tear, reminded of his homevillage

" She was burned alive.. she must have screamed in agony.. " he slomped down.. traumatized..

* Gyuuuuu.. gah gah..

When Yeontan tried to comfort him, Taehyung sniffed back, patting his dragon's head

" Its okay.. " the boy stood up

Right that second, he braved himself to check out the hut behind the corpse
