"Black is such a happy color."

She doesn't know if it's because she is a corvid or that she has Isamu's extrovert personality, or both, but Chiyo loves to meet new people and make new friends. The hurtful feeling she gets everytime Chiyo's ignored, bullied, or avoided is a feeling she is unfortunately used to having. So, Chiyo knows how meaningful her friendships are, when she rarely has these relationships.

Chiyo met Shohei in third grade. She and Fumikage had been separated and placed in different classes in an attempt to stop their future "villainy". Shohei was the only one to make an effort to get to know Chiyo. Their friendship grew into a beautiful and strong bond. When they entered their second year of junior high, they entered as a couple.

Oda Shohei was considered the most popular and one of the most handsome boys in school. He had everything going for him and everyone expected nothing but the best for him. He passed all classes with honors, had been the class representative for all three years of junior high, and is one of Shiketsu's recommended students.

Tokoyami Chiyo was the outcast and gothic "delinquent". Everyone avoided her–and Fumikage–and expected her to become a villain, even the law enforcement and the local heroes expected it. With hard work, she passed her classes with honors, became president of her school's art club, and ranked top ten in the UA Entrance Exams.

It was an odd match and no one, not even Fumikage, understood how they were together. They obviously made many mistakes, being so young, but they always pulled through and came out with an even stronger bond after each mistake.

Chiyo knew that, eventually, her relationship with Shohei would have to end. They both became two different people than when they started their relationship. She still loved Shohei, as much as her heart could give, and she always hoped–still hopes–their strong friendship will continue past the ending of their relationship.

As long as she had her dads, Fumikage, and Shohei, Chiyo didn't really need anyone else. Yeah, it upsets her when she can't have more special people in her life, but in a society where her Quirk is judged, she's fine with what she has.

"UA is being just a bit pretentious," Chiyo comments, staring up at the large door of Class 1-A with a raised eyebrow. Fumikage snorts quietly, opening the door.

"They have more than enough money to do so," He retorts, making Chiyo roll her eyes. She walks into the classroom with Fumikage, hands clasped together.

"Papa would have a field day," The goth girl states with a small smile, glancing around the barely filled room.

"He'd be fanboying so much! Cementoss is a teacher here," Grimoire squawks in Chiyo's mind. Chiyo smiles at the thought while she walks to her desk. She takes off her satchel and slides it under her chair before sitting down.

"If only I was assigned the desk behind me. I'd be able to adjust my wings more comfortably," Chiyo thinks sullenly, sighing quietly as she carefully moves her wings around her chair without bothering the student behind her.

"I'm sorry, am I in your way?" The student behind her asks politely. Chiyo turns and gives her a smile.

The student is a 15 year old girl with long black haired tied up in a spiky ponytail, fair skin, and onyx eyes. She looked pretty tall, clearly a head taller than Chiyo even with her sitting.
