I'm tired and I can't read so I'll edit it later. Sorry all probable spelling errors. (I literally can't keep my eyes open so goodnight)
"I'll always be your nightlight baby..."

It was just me in my room studying, I had all my work done for the week but still felt like I was missing something. I felt like I wasn't being productive or like I wasn't doing enough? I don't know but either way I just went on with studying. After a while I realized I was only reading the words and not actually retaining any information. I shut my books and laid my head down on the desk. It was almost nighttime, the sun slightly peaking above the horizon. I was feeling really bad so I decided I might go to bed early. Once I had gotten changed and ready I turned on the nightlight next to my bed and watched my ceiling as the galaxy colored patterns swirled around. Just as I was about to fall asleep I see my light turn off. I sit up in bed and quickly reach over to my light giving it a few good taps but, nothing. I knew I had to keep some sort of light on but the others where too bright for me to sleep with and they were all far away from my bed. I felt stuck to the bed, I wanted to turn on a light so dark shadow didn't get out of hand but I was also to scared to move. I reached for my phone turning it on but it was almost dead and my charger was on the ground. I didn't want to pick it up because what if there are monsters under there! They are gonna eat my hands! My imagination just made me even more scared and I frantically call Papa not knowing what else to do. He picks up the phone "Hello?" "Papa, please come quick! There are monster!" I heard a small gasp from his side of the phone "Oh baby I'll be right there!" Once he hung up I started crying. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a shadow looming over me, I look to my right but it's gone. I look to my left and there is nothing. "Anyone there?" I call out "Yeah, I'm always here buddy?" I jump and cover my head with a blanket "GO WAY GO WAY" I realized that the talking shadow was touching me and I got even more scared "NO TOUCH GO WAY AHHHH PLEASE" the door swung open and the light turned on. I looked up and it was Papa! "SAVE ME PAPA SAVE ME" he looks at me confused but runs over and pulls me into a hug anyways "Hey baby what's wrong?" I muzzle into his neck some more "Scary monster under da bed come touch me and talk to me" "Okay baby it's okay"

After a few minutes it finally clicked for Aoyama. "Oh baby it's not a scary monster, it's just dark shadow" dark shadow was currently in the corner of the room as far away from Tokoyami as possible. He usually wasn't scared of dark shadow even when he was little but his thoughts had scared him. "Shadow?" "Yep! Dark shadow" he lifted his head from Aoyama's neck and looked behind him at Dark Shadow in the corner "He bad boy?" "No he's nice" "Why he in corner den?" Aoyama couldn't help but chuckle "He didn't break a rule he just didn't want to scare you so he moved away!" Tokoyami nodded his head "Ooooh" Aoyama gave him a pec on the cheek "So can you tell me what happened?" "I was lookin at da tars but den it turn off! I cant fix so I get phone but it almost dead so I call Papa. I just scared" "That's okay baby, I understand" Aoyama rubbed some comforting circles on Tokoyami back. He went over to the light switch and turned it off. He felt Tokoyami flinch and grip onto him tighter "Dont worry baby, I'm right here! I won't leave I promise" "But it dark!" Aoyama pulls the blankets over them and gets a pacifier from the dresser drawer next to the bed. He puts it into Tokoyami's mouth and shushes him "I'll always be your nightlight baby..."
