Anneliese's P.O.V
Liam and I talked for quite some time. It had only been 2 1/2 months since I had met him and last seen him. It was only briefly, that night with the boys. I caught him up on Harry, Kyle, and the reason we moved. It was almost 10pm by the time we finished, and soon after that I headed home.
I walked inside my house and i saw that my mom had already unpacked a lot of things. I stepped over a box and walked into the living room. I hear a low whispering conversation coming from up the satires. I prance up the staires and follow the voices to my moms room. The door is cracked so I listen in, even though I know eavesdropping is rude. My mom is speaking in a hushed tone and the mystery voice is mumbling as well. I peek my eye through the door to see that my mom is on Skype. Squinting my eyes, I notice that she's talking to my dad. This is surprising, because my mom hates my dad.
The only reason they ever contacted each other is because of me; I bet if I wasn't around they would be complete strangers by now.
She smiles at the screen and my dad simply grins back. They have a strange look in their eyes, almost like lust. My dad scoots closer to the screen and my mom backs up, still smiling. She grasps the end of her t-shirt and begins to pull it over her head. It gets tossed to the ground as she shakes her hair seductively.
I quickly jerk my neck backwards and close my eyes in disgust. My feet shuffle backwards as I try to shake this image out of my mind. The back of my foot hits a plant and knocks it into the wall. A loud banging noise echoes through the hallway. I jump a few feet towards the satires. "Mom I'm home!" I yell nervously.
I run my fingers through my hair and take a deep breath. What did I just see? I think i know. THAT, was gross. My mom stumbles down the satires and flashes me a smug smile.
"Did you meet them?" She said excitedly. She's obviously has some wine.
I switch my stance, annoyed, and begin in sarcasm. "No mom I stood on the driveway for 3 hours."
She shot me a dirty look and waltzed away. With a roll of the eyes, I was off on the short journey to my new bedroom.
I walked in the door and it looked like my mom already set some of it up. My bed was against the wall, across from the balcony. The dresser was in front of my bed and my tv hung above it. She put my posters up on the wall as well. I had to convince her to bring those, and I'm glad she gave in. The walls were white, something I was hoping to change sooner or later. My bathroom was around the corner, along with my walk in closet. The bathroom had a walk-in shower and jet-tub. I could get used to this.
My mom has apparently heard pretty bad things about the local high school, so she's homeschooling me. At first, I was pissed off about it. Later though, I googled the schooling system I will be in. Apparently it's at an actual school, but there's about 5 kids in the classroom and were taught by a college professor. This seemed strange to me, because well, I've never heard of this in the United States. After some research though, it's pretty common in England.
[AN: lol sorry I made it up. idk if that type of schooling even exists]
My first day of school approached rapidly. My mom gave me a week to settle in, and it's already Sunday night. The main thing I did this week was unpack, eat, and sleep. Yes, I'm pathetic. I've only talked to Harry once since I moved. The fact that there's an entire ocean in-between the two of us makes me miss him like crazy; and I don't have the strength to talk to him without breaking down into tears.
The one time I did talk to him was only for about 10 minutes. It went ok at first, but my mind suddenly exploded and I began to cry. He didn't speak, just listened as I seeped through the phone. There was nothing either of us could do. I told him I loved him and hung up. I didn't even tell him about Liam. I don't know how I'll be able to talk to him again now.
Shaking the thoughts from my mind, I got ready for bed. My eyes shifted across the room to the clock, which read 11:14pm.
I awoke to the screeching of my alarm clock in my ear. My hand found its way to the snooze button, tapping it so that I had another 5 minutes to sleep. I lay in silence as my mind wakes up. School starts in about an hour and a half, so I had plenty of time. There's noises coming from down stairs, which I'm assuming is my mom making breakfast. The cool air in my room causes my eyes to water. I wipe my eyes and smile as I stretch my arms. Today's my first real day. I sunk back into bed and snuggled into my pillow, picturing my day before it even began.
The alarm went off once again and i refrained from hitting snooze one last time. While swinging my feet over the side of the bed, I throw on my glasses. I absolutely never wore my glasses in public, ever. My feet shuffled over to my bathroom, where I prepared for my first day. I popped my contacts in, did my makeup, straightened my ombré hair, and brushed my teeth. Last night I laid out my outfit; A white button up shirt paired with red high-waisters and tan gladiator sandals. My hair flowed down my back and my makeup looked perfect. I grabbed my phone and headed for the door.
Harry's P.O.V
My mom walked in front of me down the long, dark hallway. I slowly followed behind her, still debating on whether or not to go through with this. I tugged on my dark blue blazer and shook my hair, hoping i looked ok. She took a right turn and stopped at a door. With one short knock, a man with a grey beard opened the door and ushered us inside.
I scooted inside and stood awkwardly in the middle of the room. My mom sat in a big chair and i leaned up against it. My palms grew sweaty as we waited quietly. There were 7 other people in the room. 6 of them were dudes, but there was one girl alone in the back. She stood up against the wall with her earbuds in. Her hair was black and just past her shoulders. She had on a long purple dress that framed her figure perfectly. All of a sudden she looked up at me and smiled. I of course, smiled back.
Nobody dare spoke a word. Just exchanging simple grins and nodds was more than enough. Not that we wern't aloud to talk, it just wasn't exactly a very talkative time. Soon, a buzzer rang in my ears, and another door opened. We all exchanged curious glances and stepped into the new room together, leaving our parents behind us.
The nerves suddenly kicked in. My stomach felt like it was about to explode as I rocked back and forth on my feet. I drummed my fingers on the side of my thigh as my eyes darted across the room. Suddenly the lights for brighter and the people got louder.
