Dragon's Treasure || Raihan x Reader

Chapter 2 : Raihan's Speciality!

Raihan and l surprisingly had a lot in common, we both bonded over our pokemon and we both were or are gym leaders at the time. Back in Hoenn I was the Water type gym leader until l stepped down to travel instead, not because of an incident but cause of personal preference.

"So princess, where are you from? I've never heard of you before."

Raihan fixed his gaze onto me, his blue eyes looked to be filled with mist. I could have gotten lost in them if l wanted to but l didn't want to be rude and leave him hanging like that nor did I want him to think I was some creepy girl or anything.

"Ah, l was a water type gym leader in Hoenn, before that l lost to the champion Steven."

I nervously shifted as raihan watched my hands fidget,

"Water typing eh? Why don't you show me one of your Pokémon?"

I paused for a second before grabbing a pokeball, then letting out my Spheal, it happily danced in my lap as it clapped and moved to raihan as it also began to clap and make happy noises to him. Raihan seemed to like the attention as he pet her, it nudged against his hands as it cried out happily.

"Spheal doesn't really like around people much, cause l rescued it after it was abandoned by its mother but she seems to really like you."

Raihan stares at me with curiosity and mumbled under his breath, "Such a selfless girl hmm? Already showing the dragon his treasure."

I watched as Spheal waddled towards me and obviously didn't hear what raihan mumbled to his relief. We both played with Spheal until the intercom on the top of our booth blared, "now entering Hammerlocke station, we advise you to check if you've lost any items and double check before leaving your area. Thank you for riding with us today."

I smiled as l returned Spheal and put its pokeball away, I grabbed my bag and exited the train, Raihan and Leon along with Hop behind me. I felt my tummy growl along with Hops as Leon let out a chuckle, "Hey Hop and Y/N, you guys hungry? I know Raihan has an apartment in the vault if you'd like to eat there. Is that okay Raihan?"

Raihan nodded and smiled, anything for Leon and his little bro. Raihan then led me, Hop, and Leon to his apartment inside the gym as l admired Hammerlocke. Finally we made our way to his apartment which was spacious and had a great view of hammerlocke. I set down my bag and let some of my Pokémon out.

"Come on out Eevee, Goomy, and Lucario."

After I stepped down as a Gym leader I made it my goal to travel while I still can, in Kalos l found Lucario and Goomy, I remember baby lucario first scared of Eevee and now she's my strongest Pokémon. Eevee has been with me since the beginning of my journey, I've never given her any stones of any sort, since I'm no longer a real gym leader I'm not looking for anything specific. I'm allowing her to choose who she wants to evolve into, or not evolve at all. Hop looks at my Pokémon with starry eyes. He was just too adorable, he began to pet Eevee which jumped and cried out happily and Raihan stared at Goomy making him hide behind Lucario in fear. Lucario seeing Goomys fear, took a protective stance and growled at Raihan to which I sighed, "Lucario, stop that. Raihan didn't mean to scare Goomy, now come here my little gummy."

Lucario lowered her stance as she carefully watched Raihan so if he attacked she'd be ready to retaliate, Goomy Rushed to me and got slime all over my shoes which I didn't mind and picked up the small dragon and held it. Raihan stared at me which was suspicious to Lucario but he was thinking about how cute I looked holding such a small Pokémon. Leon walked to my lucario and inspected it. "Lucario, such a beautiful Pokémon! I've never seen one in person before."

Lucario blushed, she wasn't used to getting compliments so she appreciated this one.

"She's my strongest Pokémon! When I visited Kalos I found her as a Riolu and trained from there."
Raihan disinterested in the idle chit chat decides to stand up and make his way into the kitchen.
"Princess, any specific meal you'd like? I can cook anything for ya just to let you know, way of a better cook than Mr.Champion over there"

Raihan said, the jab at Leon made him gasp in betrayal and mumble as he sat on the couch with Hop. I couldn't help but giggle a little, the banter between the two reminded me definitely of my relationship with my beloved little sister. Speaking of her, how is she doing? It's been a while since I've called. Still hungry I replied, "Anything, honestly I think I could eat a rapidash at this point"

A deep chuckle comes from the kitchen along with the sound of opening cabinets and pans, his laugh...was so cute...I wanted to hear it more but we just met, it's weird that I was already attracted to him.

"Hey Y/N? You thinking about taking on the Gym Challenge at all?" Hops voice cuts me out of my thoughts. I look at him then tilt my head, the gym challenge? What's that?

"Oh my arceus! You don't know what the gym challenge is??" Yells Hop making Raihan and Leon look in his direction at the Loud proclamation.

"Of course she might not know, she's been traveling a whole lot. Might not have time to research about the regions she's visiting" Says Leon, I suppose he's right. Maybe I should've done some research about all the regions I've visited, possibly could've made navigating them much easier for me. Oh well.

"Yea...I don't really know what it is, mind explaining it to me Hop?" Judging from hops reaction to my now knowing what the Gym Challenge was made me curious on how he would answer this. Knowing Leon was the Champion, I suppose Hop his little brother would have a good idea of what it was.

"Well, the Gym challenge is where you have to collect all badges from the gym leaders across the Galar region...." Hop goes on a long rant about the Gym Challenge, honestly I've been slightly listening but what has my attention was Raihan wearing a apron with his hair in a high ponytail. Arceus, he was beautiful, along with the sweet aroma coming from the kitchen I also were sweetly told he was a good chef...a good quality for a husband...

"And whats real cool is that you- Hey Y/N are you even listening?" I didn't even hear Hop calling my name after I notice even Leon's looking at me funny.

"Ehe...sorry, my mind was somewhere else." I sheepishly smiled at Hop, hoping he would take the excu- apology. And thankfully he did, thank Arceus he didn't notice me staring at Raihan, but a certain Champion did. "I could tell Y/N, seems like you were staring at Raihan." Leon smirked, again making me turn another shade of scarlet. Hop turns his head in confusion but his eyes then widen as he realizes what his brother meant. Excellent timing as Raihan entered the living room with plates of curry.

"Hope everyone is hungry enough to eat my curry, and after the meal do tell me how I did cutie~" Raihan winks at me again, handing me my plate and placing smaller plates on the floor for my Pokémon. It was delicious, not only was Raihan good looking he was a great cook, another point was added to my mental list of reasons why it's okay to kiss raihan right now.

"Mmm, raihan your curry always hits the spot!"
Hop exclaims, I felt a bit jealous. They've probably tasted his food many times before, this taste was was to be savored in my mind. Not long after Leon chimes in, "It's good alright but not as good as mine." Leon's words make me and Hop look at him, a smug look present on his face at Raihans passive aggressive smile.

"Oh is it Mr.Champion?" Raihan says, irritation all over his smiling face, much to the amusement of Leon. "Of course Raihan, I could prove it if our dear guests weren't already being fed." They really couldn't go a minute or two without fighting? I overheard Hop call them rivals? They seemed friendly but maybe this is where the rivalry starts.
