"Hey Mika, wake up.....Mikaaaaaaa" The machinery in the back ground began fading in with each poke from Lizzie continuing her attempts at waking me up. "Ok ok" I responded in protest to her increasingly painful jabs "Quit stabbing me with your fists already". She scoffed and then kicked me once or twice before saying "Well at least I'm not the one late for their first day on the job! I don't like paying rent for two boys and to have one out hunting for food and the other lying in bed, still whining about my jabbing". Today was an important day and I had worked my butt off for seven years to get this opportunity and as much as I hate admitting it, Lizzie was right. I shuffled Lizzie out of my room and began getting ready.

Today I am going to be the apprentice to one of the most renowned blacksmiths know in our country. Legend says that he made our king, King Raul's sword when we went into battle thousands of years ago against The Legion. The idea of being the apprentice to Master Creed used to be an impossible dream until my brother Anton became a usual customer at his smithery and introduced me to the legend. I then cautiously stepped down our makeshift ladder to the ground floor of our industrial apartment finding my shoes at the base of the ladder. The whole country is somehow intertwined within itself with gears sticking out of buildings connecting to other gears in adjacent buildings. Wires that stretch all across our sky moving from one rooftop to another either transferring data or sending power. The cobblestone roads and closely built building were the only thing I knew as home. Guards walked the alleys looking for trouble makers or thieves, the type of person I don't want to look like so I begin steadily jogging towards the smithery. For an industrial country it always seems so beautiful in the right light and as often as pass it, the massive and beautiful welcome sign with the gold and brass designs always enchanted me when it was shining bright in the sunlight.

As the smithery comes in sight, it sign becomes the most interesting thing that catches my eye with the words "Creed's Utopia" made out of scrap metal varying from aluminum to steel. Soon Creed spots me and let out an enormous smile "Hey kid! Welcome to my humble abode!" Weapons were hung up on walls and displayed in cases or protected behind bars. Today was the day that i get to learn the secret workings of Master Creed. The weapons had the look of ancient weaponry such as swords, spears and bows, but as seen on those guards all of the weapons are mechanical or electrified, the best weapons of the 25th century and I can't wait to have those skills...... Mika the Great!
