Chapter 1 Life
As I sat in the back seat of my car the only thought I could think of was how badly I wanted to be somewhere else. My parents seperated thanks to one of their dumb quarrels and now I am in a car surrounded by boxes. Why do I have to go to Kentucky? With my auntie of all people and her two annoying sons. If that wasn't bad enough to make matters worse, they are twins and one is John while the other is Josh. Yeah I know, that's just swell. Why do I have to move away from Maine? I am going to miss my best friends Elizabeth and Anthony, they have been there for me through thick and thin. I guess we are grown up now and have to help ourselves as well, but it is just my luck that my parents have to be the immature ones.
My aunties' house was a two story house built around the 1960's and probably should have stayed in the 1960's. It had a lime green exterior to match the lime green door and curtains. The grass was dead starting from the driveway and progressively became worse going towards the house. The view in Kentucky was so bland and boring. I imagine I could have more fun in a blind art gallery than I could possibly have here. My greeting into the house was nothing I would have expected as their German shepherd, Lucy began with tackling me and then proceeding to lick every spot on my face until I was properly welcomed into the house. After being covered in slobber Josh and John began laughing uncontrollably until they either ran out of breath or lost attention to a different item. I really didn't care what it was as long as they stopped. The silence was quickly interrupted when my auntie flew down the stairs barking orders at someone only to stop when she noticed my blank look on my face. I had always referred to her as my auntie but right know she looked like a goblin. She was still in her nightgown and her face covered in green goo so I am guessing my arrival interrupted her facial. "Do you expect me to bring your boxes in boy? If you do then you are sadly mistaken" Even with her green mask I could see her face turning red as I continued giving her a blank stare, and then I realized that it was me who she was expecting to go get all of my boxes. I ran through the front door and hurdled Lucy just soon enough to avoid my aunties frustration.
From that day on things only became worse, auntie forced us to eat her prison food, the annoying twins seemed to have a contest on who could annoy me quicker and the dog totally faked liking me on the first day because now anytime I pass by he gives me a growl. The only thing keeping me going somedays were the drawings I made of people and worlds and items beyond belief. My favorite drawing was of a seventeen year old boy who lived In a futuristic world still set in the past. The boys name is Mika and he had blonde hair with bright green eyes. Seventeen years ago he was born on the world set in the skies. The world was as big as a country and populated more then twice what a regular country could. The world floated over a planet where it originated from. Scholars argued and bickered everyday about if the giant propellers underneath the country could support such a large population and to this day it has. My imagination about this world and about Mika intrigued me beyond belief and as soon as I start drawing anew each day, my mind is off into a different world.
