As the children of Grace field gathered around outside to play tag, Ray was sitting by the big tree and reading his book, "Alright everyone! Time to run!" Norman looked away and closed this eyes and counted...1...2...3...4...5...........
Ray nodded at him and Norman started running into the forest, "Aren't you going to join them?" asked Ray as you came out of the door, "No..."
"Why not?" "Because I don't feel like it." you reply, clearly annoyed. Well that's truth anyway, you would usually participate in these pesky little games to keep up your appearance and image, humans were very perceptive, they would notice these small details, and jump to conclusions. These things were, nothing but annoying. Giving you extra work... You really didn't see the point in indulging in these activities anyway.
You sat down next to Ray gazing at the sky.
After a little while almost all the kids were caught, "WHAT!? THIS IS LIKE ALMOST EVERYONE!" Don shouted, "I guess its just Emma" Y/N said looking to the forest.
"AH! I FEEL SO FRUSTRATED" Said Emma, "Its Okay, you'll have other chances!" You say, trying to lighten her spirits. "Question: What's something Norman has that you don't?" Asks Ray, "Planning Skills? Calmness, abnormal intelligence? "Emma guessed in confusion "Strategy, Tag is a game of strategy, your simple physical ability have the higher hand but Norman has strategy. its like playing chess but with your whole body" Answered Ray with a smirk
"REVENGE! EVERYONE IS IT' EXCEPT NORMAN!" Don Shouted "WHA-!?" everyone gasped in surprised
As everyone was out trying to find Norman, Emma was walking around in the forest when she saw the fence, she looked down at it, Then she looked around and saw Norman, She walked up to him and tagged him, "I guess I lose" Said Norman "Mom always said Don't get near the fence, its dangerous" Said Emma looking down at it
"That's obviously a lie" Said Ray walking up to them with you, "What do you mean?" Asked Norman, "I mean, look at it. What's so dangerous about this? the fence is also low and I don't see anything scary around it." Said Ray, "But Mom said so-" Emma got cut off, "You love mom don't you?" said Ray, "I mean everyone does-" "Hey! What are you doing here?" Asked Don running up to the four.
"Oh? Its already over?" Asked Gilda, "Yeah, lets call it a day, If we're too late mom's also gonna get worried." said Norman
"We're....gonna get out of here someday...right?" asked Don, "Yeah, of course- This is an orphanage, we'll be here until 12" you said, "Hey....don't you think its strange we don't have any letters from anyone?" asked Gilda out of Concern, "Letters?" Asked Emma
"Yeah! From our siblings who left the house." said Gilda, "Well, that's probably because of their foster parents right?" said Norman, "But! We've been all together ever since birth! We're not blood related but we're still siblings!" Said Don, "Hmph! They're probably so happy everyday that they forgot about our house!" Said Gilda crossing her arms in jealousy. You thought to yourself about how all these children would feel when they find out the truth of where all their "siblings" went, they all end up in the same place, after all.
"Well, if that's the case, I'd be happy for them!" you say cheerfully, "Awhhh! I want to go outside too!" said Gilda, "What are you gonna do when you go outside though?" Nat asked smugly, "Clothes! Obviously, I heard they had different types of them outside! I want to try them all!" Said Gilda happily, "I want to eat tasty food!" Someone said, "I wanna go out to a date with a cute girl!" said Don, "Excuse me!?" Said Gilda, "No- I didn't mean it that way-" "I wanna go see trains!" Phil yelled.
"What about Norman?" Asked Emma, "I would want to go to different places and see different things." "Nice!" "What about you and Ray" Emma turns towards the two of you curiously, "Well...if I go outside, I would have to survive first." He said, "That's heavy Ray, what about Y/N?" Asked Don. Well I'm not getting out of this place anyway you tell yourself. It never crossed your mind, even once on leaving this place. If it was even possible you would very much like to try. all you're going back to is that room. That stupid little room...you could still hear the cries of agony to this moment, it must've been a curse to survive that, you would have wished to die instead-
"Y/N?" You snap out of your thoughts again when Don says your name, you notice you've been clenching your fists so hard, your knuckles turned white. Everyone was looking at you with a concerned expression, "Huh..? Oh! sorry, I zoned out a bit, just a little tired is all.!" You say giving them your most convincing smile. Ray turns towards Emma to change the topic, "You want to ride a giraffe...right?" he asks, everyone's attention shifts from you, "Really? Well...I don't really want to leave the house, I wanna stay here forever!" She said smiling, "Isn't that kind of cheating?" said Don, "Really? I mean- We're all happy...right?" She giggled, "Happy..."Ray mumbled to himself, you give him a suspicious glance.
"Don't worry! I'll write letters! Lots of them, I'll never forget you guys, When I leave the house I'm gonna be a mother just like mom, And I'd never throw my kids away!" Said Conny smiling, "You love mom don't you Conny?" Said Emma smiling, "yeah!"
