7. I'd spend the money

"Well then Mr. Holland let's go!"

"Could you be any more excited?"

"Yep!"

"What were you thinking?"

"Today we buy paint, a bed, mattress, sheets and pillows."

"Sounds good."

"And I'll just order decorations and furniture online."

After a fifteen-minute drive Tom finally parks in the car park of the hardware store.

"Here." Tom hands you his credit card.

"Tom I can pay for everything by myself."

"I'd spend the money on you so take it."

"Fine." I ran into the store to get paint while Tom waited in the car, as I was looking through the paint colours a little girl ran up to me.

"Excuse me? Brooklyn?"

"Hi!"

"H..hi! I love your movies!"

"Aww thank you!"

"Are you really a princess?"

"No unfortunately."

"But you're so pretty?" The mother runs over and starts apologising.

"It's alright!"

"Bye Brooklyn!"

"Bye!"

The little girl and the mother walk away and i choose a light grey paint for my bedroom walls.

"That took longer than I thought it would."

"Yeah, but a cute little girl came up to me because she loves my movies!"

"Oh yeah the bedding and furniture store is right over there."

"Your gonna make me walk, aren't you?"

"Yep! I'll meet you over there."

At least Tom was right it wasn't to far to walk, but he got into the car park before me. I gestured for him to get out of the car so he could come in with me. We walked straight in and straight to the queen-sized beds.

"Do you like any?"

"Yeah, I like this one."

"Shall we get it?"

"Yes, we shall!"

A nice woman who worked in the store walked up to us.

"Hi, are you love birds looking to buy this one?"

"Oh we...uh we aren't!"

"We aren't dating!"

I can feel my cheeks become a dark shade of red and I looked over at Tom and his was the same. The woman laughed and apologised but she offered us a discount which I obviously declined, because we could easily afford it. In the end we ended up buying a king-sized bed and went back to the car.

"Haha! My beds bigger than yours!"

"Not by much"

"Still bigger!"

"Anyway, where to next?"

"The last place for today is the groceries to stock up the kitchen."

"Wouldn't it be better to get kitchen appliances and food at the same time?"

"Good point Thomas!" You ruffle his hair "gold star!"

"Yay!"

"Ok let's go! And you're walking this time with me!"

"Sure."
