"What if he doesn't remember me!" I started pacing back and forth in the arrival area, "What if he doesn't like me anymore because he hasn't seen me!?"

"Brooklyn it'll be ok; dogs always have a special bond with their owners that never go away."

"Flight 207 from New York City your luggage can now be collected." A lady over the intercom announced and my nerves rose even more. I continued to pace around the area we were in until I looked up and saw that at the other side of the room an airport worker was pushing a dog crate towards us. The worker looked up at me and smiled knowing I was the pet's owner; he undid the locks on the crate and opened the crate wide open. Before I knew it a large bundle of black fur was running towards me at full speed barking.

"Pluto!" I sat on the floor waiting for the impact of Pluto's large body to hit me, but he stopped himself just in time and jumped on me and started licking me with excitement, "I missed you to buddy!" I continued to scratch Pluto's body while he licked me continuously, "Wanna go to our new home?" he barked in response, "Can you be a good boy? I want you to meet someone but be nice." he nodded his head and his tongue hung out of his mouth as he followed me back to tom.

"Tom this is Pluto." Pluto jumped up on top and licked his face.

"It's nice to meet you to buddy." He laughed as he scratched behind Pluto's ear, "We ready to go now Brooklyn?"

"Yep, let's go!" we walked out of the airport and Pluto followed closely behind me.

"He's well trained he follows you even without a lead."

"Yeah, he is, then he looks out for danger which is pretty cool." Pluto continued to follow us through the airport and the carpark till we got to toms' car. He opened the back seat and Pluto jumped straight in and made himself comfortable. Quickly tom opened my door for me, I got in and he closed it behind me.

"let's go home." Tom said putting his seat belt on and starting the car.

"I have to figure out where he can sleep."

"there's a small room downstairs that Pluto can sleep and eat in."

"If you don't mind that sounds perfect."

"I don't mind at all; do you have everything that he needs?"

"Yeah, the last box I have is his bed and toys."

"Ok cool so when we get home, we can set it up, is he house trained?"

"of course, he is!"

Once I opened the front door to the house, Pluto ran in and started to sniff around the whole house until he found my room and jumped up onto my bed. When I went upstairs to go get him, tom got his new room ready. "Come on Pluto, its bedtime." Pluto's ears perked up when he realised that it was his bed that he loved very much. He happily followed me back downstairs and into the room where his stuff was. He looked around the room and grabbed his favourite toy, a stuffed bear and he made himself comfy on his bed.

"He looks adorable with his little teddy." Tom laughed as I took pictures of Pluto.

"it's his favourite one, do you reckon we leave the door open or close it?"

"I think we should leave it open I don't think he'll move now."

"Your right and if he does need to go out, he'll just come to my room."

"Well then goodnight, Pluto, and goodnight, Brooklyn." He kissed me on the cheek and walked upstairs to his room and I soon followed into my own room and falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
