"Your birthday is near," sabi naman ni Ate Hermit from the other line.

I smiled naman and drank my water. "You remembered," sabi ko naman.

"How can we forget?" she asked na parang natatawa. "You know us naman Talise, we can forget anything na but not our cousins' birthday," she added pa kaya mas napasmile ako.

"Miss, magdidilig lang po ako ng halaman," Kuya Elvis whispered naman.

"Okay po, Kuya," I said naman and smiled. He nodded and smiled back bago sya nag-walk palabas ng house namin.

"Anyways, how was your life there?" she asked na naman. "24 na tomorrow, this is the first time na you'll celebrate the Christmas without your family," she said pa kaya napayuko ako. Kahit na I'll celebrate Christmas with Trevor's family, I still want to celebrate the Christmas with my Mom and Kuya Lake.

"We're so sorry, Talise ha. You know naman na we're in Maldives every Christmas kaya I can't go there to celebrate with you," she said pa.

"It's okay, Ate. I understand naman, take care," sabi ko nalang and ended the call na. After ko ma-end ang call ay nagwalk na rin ako palabas ng house. I saw Kuya Elvis cultivating his plants in the pots. I smiled naman and walked palapit sa kaniya.

"Ay, Miss," he called me and bowed. "May kailangan po ba kayo?" he asked me pa.

I shook my head naman. "I want to help," sabi ko naman and his eyes widened. "What po?" I asked him naman and he smiled nalang and stood up.

"Kukuhanan lang po kita ng gloves para po hindi marumihan ang kamay niyo," he said and ran na papunta sa backdoor kasi mas mabilis ang access papunta sa kitchen where the tools are. I was looking around the yard and it's full of different flowers. Kuya Elvis tooks care of them talaga.

"Miss," he exclaimed and handed me those gloves. I wore them naman and sat beside him and pulled the wild weeds na nasa pot. He's doing the same thing din. Napatingi ako kay Kuya Elvis and he's smiling.

"Kuya Elvis," I called him kaya napastop siya sa ginagawa niya and he looked at me. "It's Christmas tomorrow," I started the conversation and continued pulling the weeds. "You can go home and celebrate the Christmas with your family."

"'E paano po kayo, Miss?" he asked me naman. "Wala po kayong kasama," he said pa.

"I'm actually celebrating the Christmas eve kina Trevor," I said naman and he immediately smiled.

"Maganda ho 'yan, Miss," he said excitedly naman. "Maganda po na makikilala mo ang pamilya ni Sir Trevor, kasi s'yempre sila ang magiging pangalawang magulang mo," he said pa kaya natawa ako.

I stopped pulling weeds and looked at him, brows furrowed. "You're kind," sabi ko at nag look down. "I don't understand how you last in Dad's attitude," sabi ko pa at nailing. "He's a demon," sabi ko pa.
