Noelle felt awful for the singer. As the late afternoon sun shined upon Chester's face, she could visibly see just how tired he truly was. Dark bags under his eyes, a ashy greyish tone to his perfect complexion.
"It's not completely ready yet, but, I'd love to help out." Noelle responded. This caused Chester to look up at her with his endearing brown eyes as if he was saying 'thank you'.
"I can definitely help you get the guest house ready..." Chester offered.
"Oh no! No... I'll head home tonight and start the preparations." It's not that Noelle didn't want his help, but she wanted to make sure everything was welcoming and perfect for the singer. She knew her grandmother would be rolling in her grave if Noelle didn't make the guest house less than perfect.
"I can find somewhere to stay tonight, or however long you need to get the house ready. What will you be charging for rent?"
"We can talk about that at a later time, like maybe when you sell a few albums." Noelle winked.
"See! Don't you just love her?!" Sam beamed hugging the other female tightly. Noelle looked over the woman's shoulder to her husband who had emotion pooling in his eyes. He mouthed the words 'thank you' in silence to the brunette. Noelle winked once more towards the vocalist.
"Well... you guys have a dinner reservation tonight. Don't be late. Jeff can bring you by my place when you're all finished. Sam, you sure you won't be staying?"
"I wish, but, I need to get back. I've got a doctors appointment in the morning I can't miss."
"Well, be sure to give my mobile number to your husband and feel free to call me when you're on your way. Enjoy your dinner!"
Sam elbowed her husband as if he was supposed to say something. She then whispered in his ear what to say.
"Um, Noelle?" Chester called out to the brunette.
"Yes?"
"Can I bring you anything to-go from the restaurant?"
"You're very kind. I've got leftover Chinese calling my name. See ya later!" The brunette then got into her black '99 Honda Prelude... and pulled out of the parking lot.

Noelle pulled up to her freshly painted house. She was proud of the renovations she had done. Her main focus right now was to clean up the guest house quick and move a bed out there. The brunette wasn't overly strong, but had strength enough to accomplish most things on her own. 'Work smarter, not harder.' was a motto she always lived by. She had an industrial sized rolling cart she had been using to tow all her supplies around the house. Like the carts you would see at Lowe's or Home Depot. She loaded her grandmother's basically new mattress on it and wheeled it out to the guest house. Noelle found peace knowing the mattress wasn't going to be tossed after all.
