Time To Enjoy

  Kensi POV 

 It took a while for the police to get all our statements.  One young officer asked for my phone number thankfully Max was there and he backed off.  

We decided to call it a draw with the game and then AJ mentioned the Liverpool game and they all agreed to join us at Boston Pizzas later.  Max has come back to my room with me.

 "Kens just grab a few bits and come back to the hotel with us.  We can go for a swim or watch TV?" he suggests 

"Are you sure? I don't want you all to worry about me?" I ask

"Kens its us that need you close.  After what happened" he says 

"Its not going to be on the news of anything is it?" I ask thinking about my family seeing it.  

"I don't know? Thankfully there wasn't that many people about and I don't think they registered the fact he had a gun.  You can hear cars back firing all the time" he comforts. 

The police had been quick to take him away and then we sat on the benches while we gave our statements.  They have said that we will have to go in to sign our statements once they are typed up.  They have all our contact info anyway.  

I grab some stuff and push it into a bag.  I grab my laptop and I am ready to go.  

"Want me to drive?" Max offers and I give him the keys thankful he is with me.  

"Thanks Max, it means a lot having you here" I tell him.  

"Hey, I have to live up to my superstar name" he jokes 

"You are and always will be, my superstar" I assure him.  

He takes my hand and gives it a squeeze as we drive towards the hotel.  As we walk in the clerk behind the desk waves us over.

"Mr. Capper has upgraded your room to a suit.  I just need your room key in exchange for the new one" she says smiling and fluttering her eye lashes at Max.  He gives her a smile and then pulls me into his side and keeps his arm around my waist.  

"That's nice of him" he says smiling at me.  

I blow him a kiss and lean into him "sure is" I say smiling up at him.  

I see the clerk checking me over as I just pulled on some old jeans and Tee.  I am sure she finds me lacking.  

Max winks at me and leans down to whisper in my ear "one of these days I will kiss you back properly."  I suck in a deep breath as my body reacts to his words and I breakout in goose bumps.  

I swallow and fix a smile on my lips "promises" I say as the clerk taps the new room key on the desk.  

Max leans away and looks deep into my eyes and I feel my cheeks heat.  

He seems surprised with what he sees and doesn't even look at the clerk as he takes the key from her "suit 304" she says and he nods his head guiding me towards the elevators.  

Once we are in the elevator he doesn't hit the 3 button but the R button. 

I look at him "Kens can we have a talk away from everyone else?" he asks 

"Sure Max" I answer wondering what he needs to talk to me about.   

I go to step away a little when I realise his arm is still around my waist.  He lets it drop but takes my hand in his as the doors to the elevator open.  

"There is a roof top bar" he says leading me down a hallway.  

Once through some double doors we are in a large room that has a bar and the doors folded open to the roof top terrace.
