~Shiro's PoV~
We were on Kerberos, one of Pluto's moons, gathering samples to study and send back to the Garrison on Earth. We placed the drill into the ice and a few minutes later retracted it. Matthew Holt was in charge of extracting the samples from the drill."Easy son. This ice is delicate." Commander Holt reminded his son as he pulled it out slowly.
"Amazing. Isn't this exciting Shiro?" Matt asked me.
"You guys and Kathy get a little more excited about ice samples than I do." I replied.
"::But this is history in the making, big brother.::" My little sister's voice said over the comms from our ship.
"Your sister is right, Shiro," Commander Holt said. "Not only have we traveled farther than any human ever has, but these ice samples could hold microscopic clues about the existence of life outside Earth."
"Think of it, Dad. We could use those clues to become the first people to meet aliens." Matt said.
"My life's work would be complete." Commander Holt said as the ground began to rumble ominously.
"What is that? Seismic activity?" Sam asked.
"::You guys better get back here. Scanners are showing something unknown and huge heading for your position.::" Kathyrine said anxiously. Suddenly, a gargantuan purple ship appeared over our heads.
"What is that?" Sam asked again. "It can't be." My eyes widened as I saw something charging from the top of the ship.
"Run! Come on, run!" I screamed at the two Holts.
"::Takashi?! What's going on?! What's happening?!::" I heard my sister say over the comms, her panicky voice causing it to crackle, but we were too busy trying to outrun the red-violet beam behind us. It caught up to us and as we were pulled aboard my vision went black.
"Emperor Zarkon. We were scouting System Z-9-Y as ordered when we found these four primitive scientists." A deep, unfamiliar voice said as I came to. I snap my head up and look around my surroundings. It appears to be a purple-hued command bridge. A purple, furry alien is talking to a shadowed alien on a giant red screen.
"I don't think they know anything useful." The alien continued.
"Take them back to the main fleet for interrogation." The alien on the screen said. I look to my side to see the Holts and my sister still unconscious next to me.
"The druids will find out what they know." He said creepily.
"Please we come from a peaceful planet! We mean you no harm!" I pleaded, hoping we could talk it out. "We're unarmed!" However, all my attempts got me was something to the back of my head and I was out like a light.
