Chloe's POV
I woke up to my alarm going off at 8 AM since I had my first ultra-sound today. I rolled over to see Zach still sleeping, I gently woke him up knowing we had to leave in a couple hours.
"Zach wake up we have a doctors appointment to go to" he rolled over while opening his eyes.
"What appointment" he asked
"The ultra-sound for the baby" I said.
I got out of bed and went into the closet grabbing a pair of leggings and an oversize sweatshirt before going into the bathroom for a shower. I turned on the water and got out of my clothes that I was wearing the night before. I got into the shower and quickly washed my hair and body before getting out. I wrapped the towel around me before calling Zach in to take his shower. He opened the door and got undressed before getting in the shower doing the same I did. I put my leggings and sweater on before brushing my teeth and hair. I put on some chap-stick before leaving the bathroom to let Zach finish.
I grabbed a pair of shoes and put them on before heading downstairs to make breakfast. I looked at the time and seen we still had an hour before the appointment. I grabbed eggs and sausage to make since we didn't have much time. As I was cooking I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. I jumped at first before realizing it was Zach.
I put the sausage and eggs on our plates before handing one to Zach and walking to the table. We ate in silence not really having anything to talk about right now. Once we were done eating we washed the dishes and headed out the door. Getting into Zach's car we headed off the the doctors to see the baby for the first time.
I started getting nervous because I didn't know what to suspect a lot of questions popping into my head. What if I lost the baby? What if they find something wrong? I was pulled out of my thoughts by Zach grabbing my hand.
"You ok? You look deep in thought" he asked
"Yeah just nervous for the appointment" I said
"Everything will be ok. I promise" Zach responded
I nodded my head before looking up to see that we were pulling into the parking lot. As we parked I unbuckled my seat belt and got out of the car. We started walking in Zach holding my hand again. Zach opened the door allowing me to walk in first with him following behind. I walked up to the front desk to get signed into the appointment.
"Appointment for Chloe" I said
"Fill out these papers and I will get you checked in" I nodded my head saying thank you before walking away.
I sat in the chair next to Zach and we both filled out the papers since there was questions about the father as well. We turned the papers in right before the nurse called us back to the room. I laid on the ultra-sound bed pulling my shirt up when she told me to.
"This will be a little cold" she said before putting the gel on me.
She started moving the ultra-sound wand around trying to find the baby. Once she found it she moved the screen so both Zach and I could see along with her.
"So that is baby A" She said I got confused at first as to why she said baby A. but then she said
"And this is baby B. Congrats your having twins" she said.
My eyes widened in shock before looking over at Zach him having the same expression. Twins didn't run in either of our families. I looked back at the screen now having tears of happiness in my eyes. The nurse handed us the pictures before the doctor came in to see us as well. We answered all the questions she had along with her answering our questions.
Once we were done we left the doctors office and got back into the car. I was still in shock about having twins and I knew Zach was too. We pulled out of the parking lot heading towards McDonald's wanting to get some lunch. It took 5 minutes to get there not being very far from the doctor's office.
We walked in both of us ordering chicken nuggets and fries, Zach ordering a coke and me ordering a smoothie. Smoothies have been one the the cravings I have had the most so far. I have had one almost every day since I found out I was pregnant. We sat at our table eating while talking about the babies and how we were going to tell everyone.
"So we start online school tomorrow" Zach says
"Yeah was there anything we needed before we started" I asked knowing his mom got all of the emails for both of us.
"Yeah they said we need a couple textbooks and to go to the store and get notebooks and pens and pencils." I nodded my head.
We finished eating before getting up throwing away the trash and heading towards the school knowing the library was open to pick up the textbooks. We walked into the library and I had seen the same librarian that has been here since Isaac was coming to this school freshman-senior year. Zach and I walked up and picked up our textbooks for this school year. Zach was going into senior year while I was going into junior year.
We got the textbooks and left going to Walmart and picking up notebooks, pens, pencils, and a couple more things we thought we would need to help keep us organized.
We finally got home around 3 pm and greeted my brothers before heading upstairs. All of the boxes from Zach's house was still packed and sitting around. We put the stuff on the bed before trying to decide what to do with the room.
We started in the closet and I moved some of my clothes so that Zach had one half and I had the other. We also put his dresser in here early so we filled that back up with his clothes.
Next we went to our bathroom and set his stuff up in the shower, on the counter, and under the sink/drawers. I took a couple pictures down in my room and put some of his pictures up. There wasn't really much we had to do. It was just more procrastination then anything along with morning sickness.
"I think we're done" Zach said
"Yeah I think so" I said collapsing on the bed tired
