The cold welcomes me
Wrapping me in its harsh embrace
My hands reach out
Gripping the blanket of chill that comforts me

I've never felt so lost
Yet found all at the same time
My feet dragging slowly
Across this frozen forest floor

The wind calls to me
Screaming my name in volumes of rage
Then it whispers to me
Singing songs of agony and pain

To hold it would be
A dream I'd never dreamed so much before
The longing within my soul
Wishing to calm a volatile storm
