Regina's POV

As I begin to wake up I feel a warm and comforting embrace around me. It catches me off guard but then I quickly remember what happened last night. How could I possibly forget about the beautiful experience? Even though I only forgot just for a moment. I turn around to see Emma's captivating face. She looks so peaceful when she's sleeping. There's no pain hiding behind a fake smile when she sleeps. It's just her face, unaffected by emotion. It's truly a beautiful and heartwarming sight.

"What are you staring at?" Emma asked in a sexy sleep-filled voice. "I'm staring at you silly," I say caressing her cheek. "I'm the one who's supposed to do that." She says kissing my hand. "You wouldn't be looking at anything good." I sigh. Emma grabs my waist and pulls me close to her. "I don't ever want to hear you say that again. You're absolutely breathtaking and I'm not just talking about your body. Even though it's enthralling it doesn't compare to your mind or personality." Emma explains to me. "Really?" I ask shyly. "Of course I would never lie to you about yourself. I care about you too much to do that." She says giving me a kiss on the cheek.

As soon as Emma says that tears start coming down my face. "What's wrong?" Emma asked, confused about my reaction. "I'm just mad at myself for waiting so long to be with you. Since you got here I've been leading you on knowing it wasn't ok but I still did it. I don't deserve you to be my first time. I definitely don't deserve you being my lover. You're too good for me." I say trying to wipe my tears. "Everyone deserves to be happy Regina. You're the one who's too good for me. I always thought to myself 'why the hell would a senator want a knight'. Then I remembered you were Regina before you became Senator Mills. You still are Regina...my Regina." She says hugging me.

"Thank you so much... for everything"

"It's no problem now let's get out of this bed and do something," Emma says getting up and displaying her magnificent body to me.

"Oh, I know what I want to do."

Emma's POV

Regina and I are laying down together on a blanket on the grass. The same grass where we shared our first real kiss together. It's nice finally letting my feelings free. They've been bottled up for ten years. Just clawing at me from the inside. Making me miserable to the point where I couldn't even get out of bed some days. Now all of that is gone, replaced with happiness. For the first time in a long time, I'm finally happy.

As Regina and I are talking a messenger bird drops off a letter on my lap. "What is it?" Regina asks as I open and read it. "It's from Senator Stiltskin, He sent his condolences for my parent's death. He also wants my permission to fully take over my parent's role as representatives for their kingdom." I explain after reading the letter. "What are you going to say?" She asks me. "I don't know I haven't even put them in the ground yet and this is already happening. That's politics for you I guess." I sigh.

"I think he should've waited before sending this letter to you," Regina says frustrated. "He didn't have to send me one at all. I have no right to the throne or the right to represent the kingdom. I admire him for asking even though the timing isn't great. Senator Stiltskin has been doing a satisfying job so far. So I think he'll be a good representative." I explain to Regina. "I don't know Emma. I have a weird feeling about him. Something just makes me feel kind of off about him." Regina says shaking her head.

"Well, it's not like I can do it so someone has to." I groan. "I could put in a request for me to represent your kingdom," Regina says, putting her hand on my shoulder. "It's not my kingdom anymore. It hasn't been since I left it with no heir to the throne. Plus you being a representative will draw attention to our relationship." I say putting my hand on top of her's. "Ok, I'll stand by your decision," Regina says, giving me a small peck on the cheek.

"Thank you for being by my side."

"I wouldn't have it any other way."
