They also made the cover art for this story :D

This story is inspired by a song called "burn" by the original Broadway cast of Hamilton.
Here's the song if you want to listen to it:

The story takes place when Tommy and Wilbur got exiled.

Dream and Wilbur had gotten together before that and they had kept their relationship a secret.

This ain't proofread, so- enjoy the mess of misspellings.

Wilbur was walking down the Pogtopia stairs, heading to a little library room that he had made. He tended to spend most of his time there, either planing stuff for future events or just lounging in the area.

As he went inside the room, he instantly went to the fireplace, lighting it. It usually made the place much wormer, since he and Tommy had decided to live underground, which meant that all the rooms go cold pretty fast.

It was a dumb decision picking caves as a home, but at least it was something since they lost everything they had because of the exile.

Wilbur changed his gaze from the lit fireplace to his left, where lied a lectern and bookshelves filled with a few books here and there.

He instantly noticing a book laying on the lectern. Wilbur was a bit confused by it since he usually didn't leave any books on there if he wasn't reading them, but maybe this time he just forgot to put it away.

Walking closer to the lectern, Wilbur released it wasn't one of his books. He read the title of it.

"Dreams.. diary?" Wilbur questioned,  laying his hand on the book and opening the first page, seeing that it was indeed his partner's handwriting.

"But how?" Wilbur muttered, picking up the book and debating if he should read it or not.
Part of him really wanted to read it, but he also knew that's it's better to respect others' privacy. Even if it was about his lover, Dream.

He opened the first page once again, just examining Dreams handwriting.
Whilst doing that, Wilbur got interrupted by two folded papers falling out of the book.

Picking up the papers he dropped, Wilbur went to a table that was a few feet away from him and put the book that he was holding down on it.

Now that his hands were more freer, he examined the folded papers he had dropped.
They didn't look like pages that were ripped out of a book. So the other guess was that they were letters.

As he unfolded the first one, he instantly recognized his own handwriting. It was a letter he had sent to Dream.
Wilbur found it sweet that Dream had kept it.
