Oenomel
(n.) something combining strength with sweetness.Willow’s POV
Bullets were flying almost everywhere. I couldn’t tell which side was winning, I didn’t know whose side I was standing in. But I knew that I was in the wrong field when a hand wrapped around my neck as a gun pointed at my head. I moaned in pain as the person behind me squeezed.
“Fight me like a woman, Mandy,” Hallow said and I shook my head, trying to stop her. She ignored me and slowly walked toward us.
“Are you sure?” Mandy asked and before Hallow could say anything, she pushed me harshly to the side and threw herself at Hallow who was quick to block the attack. When Mandy was still trying to turn around, Hallow pulled her knives out and turned around when Mandy grabbed her shoulders.
Hallow pulled her head back and threw it at Mandy’s nose. That gave her a chance to slice through her wrists. Mandy screamed as blood started gashing out of the opening on her wrists.“I told you we were gonna dance,” Hallow said before slicing through Mandy’s throat. Mandy gasped and tried to hold her neck but her hands were now useless as she fell to the floor, making a pool of blood under her.
“Willow!” I turned around to find Floyd behind me, he was shot. He had just taken a bullet for me. I stared at Marian in shock as she smirked and walked to the other side of the room. My attention was brough back to Floyd. I stared at him in shock as he smiled at me like his back was not spatting out blood, another bullet was sent to his chest, his eyes were locked on mine. He smiled and slowly knelt in front of me. I held him and looked for anything to stop the bleeding.
“Let me go and call for help, let me-”
“I love you,” he cut me off and I stared into his eyes.
“I always knew I’d take a bullet for you,” he said and from his eyes I saw that he was in pain. I clutched his shirt as sobs left my lips.
“Does that still make me weak?”“My lover,” I whispered, and he smiled, like I had just told him that he won millions of Nutella jars.
“You are alive,” I said and he chuckled only to cough out blood.“Not-” he started, causing me to tug harder on his shirt.
“Not for long,” he whispered, and tears left my eyes. I was surprised that he still had blood in him after the pool of blood I was sitting on under me.“No, no. You are going to live. You will live.”
“I’m sorry,” he said, almost begging. His eyes were filled with tears as his voice cracked.
“Why are you apologizing? We will be together,” I promised and looked around. It was just me and him in the room, no one to help us.
“Sean! Hallow! Somebody!” I called out but he pulled my chin and forced me to look at him.“I’m sorry, Shrimpy.”
“Why do you keep saying sorry?”
“I’m sorry I have to leave you.”
My eyes went wide before I snapped at him, “No. I’m ging to bring a doctor. Sean will-”
“It’s too late for that,” he sighed and looked into my eyes once more.
“No, it’s not. You can hold on, I know you can,” I begged but he just smiled.
“I love you,” he said once more, his breath hitched before his head fell back. His eyes were locked on mine as his last breath left his lips.
“No! NO!” I screamed pulling his head so he was looking at me. His lifeless eyes seemed to have lost his soul. “Come back to me, please,” I begged resting my head on his chest. His hand that was holding mine suddenly felt like it didn’t exist as I looked at the gun that was dropped on the floor just away from me. I got up and walked toward it. I knelt next to Floyd again before kissing his bloody lips.
“Till we meet again, lover,” I said and closed his eyes before taking his necklace and walking out of the room that was filled with dead bodies. I found Marian pointing her gun at Sean.“If you had stayed with Mandy, we wouldn’t be here right now. Sorry, son, goodbye,” I pointed my gun at her and shot at her back. She pulled her trigger, but Sean was quick to move out of the way. She turned to me with her gun and her eyes wide.
“You are trying to kill me?” she asked and I smiled. She is just like Marionette. She was also giving me the challenging eyes I used to fear so much. But since I married the mafia, those eyes don’t scare me no more.“I killed my own mother, what do you think I can do to you?” she pointed her gun at me and I emptied mine on her the same time a dagger flew to her chest. Her eyes went wide before she fell to the floor, pushing the knife deeper into her body.
“Are you okay?” Sean asked coming to me. I felt like I was dying, maybe a bullet hit me again and I can’t feel it. The gun slipped from my hands as I stared at Sean, I almost lost him the same way I lost Floyd.
“Floyd,” I whispered before everything went black.
