Minho inhaled slowly and looked into her black questioning eyes. He closed his eyes, and quickly opened them and stared at the photo of his family in it and he smiled faintly. He looked straight at Jin Ah, "you already some of the story".
Her ears perked up and she nodded. He closed the file and sat comfortably on the chair, "you want to hear the rest"? He looked at her with a faint smile. She didn't reply just looked at him. He exhaled slowly and started his story.
"Yea well it is true I am his son, he said while eyeing down, "but he isn't my father" he said while shaking his head. After she heard this she wasn't as excited as before she was sad, "no way am I sad?" she thought as she couldn't believe that she was sad. She waited for him to continue as she inhaled deeply.
"We were a happy family he chuckled with a hint of sadness, "for a while you can say, my mom you see isn't in the picture anymore" he added. "What they are divorced or she remarried"? She thought as she looked at him.
"She is dead" he said his voice shaking as if was about to cry. Jin Ah gasped as she heard this, it was like her heart was crushing down, "what have I done? For my excitement I have unknowingly opened a wound of his" she thought as she saw the pained expression on his face.
"We don't- Jin Ah shuttered as she looked into his brown eyes filled with tears, those teary eyes made her heart ache, "we don't have talk about this, I opened a wound for you I am sorry, I" – Minho cut her off, "no its fine I want to tell you", he gave her a small smile. "Why"? Jin Ah thought as she saw the painful smile.
Minho inhaled, "she had a tumor brain tumor to be precise". Jin Ah gasped as she heard the word tumor, her eyes pulled back, her breathing accelerated, her mouth slightly opened.
"She- he continued, "she didn't tell anyone and only in a year she was gone". Jin Ah couldn't function anymore, it was like she had stopped, her heart beating at the speed of a train, she was doing the same as his mother did, "but I know why she had taken that step cause I know how would have she felt" she thought.
"I will never forgive her for that, after that my father remarried. The son you were talking about is my brother well half-brother", he added as he looked at her. "You didn't like the mom or the brother"? Jin Ah commented.
"No, no that's not it he chuckled, "it is my dad, he wanted me to take over the company, you see as the first son I had to I was just not ready". Jin Ah nodded her head slowly as she knew how it felt to take responsibility when you are not ready.
"I didn't want that I wanted something else so that's why I ran, ran away from him and came here to Korea so I could do what I wanted to do" he expressed. "What it is you want to do?" Jin Ah asked him as she looked at him. He faced up and met Jin Ah eyes, as he looked at those eyes and he felt at ease as he could tell them anything.
She tilted her head waiting for him to answer. "Painter" he answered under his breath. Jin Ah didn't get what he said, "what? What I couldn't get that?" She asked. He inhaled, "painter" he said with a firm voice this time.
Jin Ah was surprised upon hearing this, "really?" She asked. He scoffed a little, "I know it's stupid" – "No it's not" Jin Ah quickly added cutting him off and gave him a small smile.
He relaxed as he saw the smile, "my mom wanted me to be a painter, she liked my paintings she use to stay they bought her happiness he recalled the bittersweet memories as he looked down.
Jin Ah eyes went towards his hand that was only an inches away from her. His fingers clenched into fists. She extended her fingers then retried them the second. Minho exhaled and looked at her expecting something her to say something.
