CHAPTER: 10

The next day finally came, the sun finally said hello and the birds sang. Jin Ah woke up due to the light from the curtains. She sat up straight on the bed and looked outside the windows.

It was a pleasant morning. The sky was clear and the sun was there to shine. She stretched and massaged her eyes. Then she remembered her words she spoke to Minho, she cringed at herself. "What were you even thinking god"!? She cursed at herself.

She sighed and got up from the bed, when she got up she felt a sharp pain in her knees. She hissed from the pain and grabbed her knees. She couldn't walk as the pain was so severe. She tried to walk but she tripped. She cursed as she tried to get up with the help of the bed. She got up and sat on the bed.

She exhaled and inhaled, to calm her down. She looked for her pills but then she remembered she had to eat something before that. She inhaled slowly and tried to get up. It was difficult as she tried to take a step her knees pained like they were broken.

She made her way towards the bathroom by the help of the furniture as she grabbed them as she walked. She reached the bathroom. She looked at herself in the mirror; she twitched her eyes and tried to wash herself. It was hard but she did it and finally she went towards her bed again.

She hopped on her bed again. She needed to take the pill but she had to have breakfast. She knew she couldn't go down it was impossible. As she remembered the stairs her knees were in more pain. She called Mrs. Choi and told her she will have her breakfast in her room today. She asked her, if she was fine? Why all of a sudden? She just replied that she wants to enjoy her Her day off and told that she needs cereal and hung up.

"God that doesn't even sound like me" she muttered those words as she threw her phone on the bed. The pain had progressed through her legs.

She tried to compose herself as anyone could come up and see her like that. She inhaled and exhaled, massaged her knees so the pain was bearable. She heard the door open and she straightens herself and inhaled and tried to put a smile on her face. Her knees were in such a pain as a car had gone over them.

She kept the pain inside as the door opened and there was Mrs. Choi with a try in her hands. Mrs. Choi came closer to her and put the try in front of her.

She smiled and grinded her teeth because of the pain and tried to appear fine. Mrs. Choi looked at her worriedly, "are you sure you are fine? You look a little pale young lady" she asked while looking at her.

She just sighed and nodded, "of course I am fine I just wanted to have breakfast in bed" she replied as she took tray. Mrs. Choi sighed and smiled back at her.

"Mrs. Choi can you please give me my laptop too"? She asked as she took the first bite of her cereal. Mrs. Choi nodded and went towards the table to get it. As Mrs. Choi turned back, she quickly massaged her knees and relaxed her mouth.

She gave her the laptop and excused herself. When she was out Jin Ah quickly ate the cereal and took the pills from her drawer and swallowed them.

She relaxed and closed her eyes as the pill passed through her throat. When she was fine she started to work on her laptop. She checked her emails and saw that Hyun Jae had sent her an email; it was regarding her lawyer that was going to come tomorrow. She just nodded and went towards the next email.

There was a knock on the door. She told the person to come me without taking her eyes off the computer.

"Miss Jin Ah" the person called out. She her fingers stopped and she looked up to find Minho standing there, waiting for her attention. She cleared her throat and asked, "yes what is it Minho"? She was avoiding eye contacts because those made her remember what she did yesterday.
