Years ago I used to belong to a fantastic internet community called @tribeofpoets who provided daily poetry writing prompts - they'd post an interesting word to be the subject of the poem, and a jumble of randomly generated numbers which would determine how many lines long it should be, and how many words should be in each line.
I originally posted these on instagram ( @virtual_scribe ), and have provided some of the illustrations etc. I originally created for those posts. Where possible I've tried to provide a definition for any unfamiliar words, and maybe a little explanation of what was going through my head when I wrote them. Hope you enjoy!
