The end at the beginning!

Ayaana.....
For as long as I can remember,I've always wanted to be a chef,own few restaurants over the country and make people happy since making people happy starts with giving them something to eat...

And here am I on this day,about to be handed my certificate after what seemed like forever...
Yeah I'm done with culinary school!!!

We were asked to converge in the hell kitchen. The last time I came here was the day we were tested,our last examination..😪

We were given 2hours to cook a four course meal:main dish,grills,dessert and an appetizer... That was the most frustrating day of my life...well that's a story for another day...

It ended well yea...tho didn't begin well...I was proud of what I did and had in my front when I finished. I smiled and knew I was good to go.

I was brought back to reality when I heard Ms. Anna saying " Hello chefs!!" We all replied as everyone was happy that this is finally coming to an end..
Not that we didn't enjoy it but it was a tough journey with ups and downs,beautiful and amazing experience,meeting new people from different places and of course,learning a whole lot of things.

This is one of the most beautiful moments in my life. I'm trying very hard to not cry not because I'm not happy...(hell no) but due to over happiness(if there's anything like that)

Ms. Anna stepped on the position. She looked and smiled. I didn't know I was smiling till I felt my lips stretched out on their own accord. "Congratulations y'all,its been such a beautiful journey with good and bad experiences but it's definitely worth it. Now you can look back and say "I've done it".

I'm so honored to be a part of this exciting day, celebrating your graduation and the beginning of your chosen careers as Culinary Professionals. This excellent school has given you the basics, the tools, and the foundation you need to move forward with your career.

I believe you've been taught,baked and moulded into professionals over the years.
And this I believe is the beginning of something great,rewarding and above all satisfying. She rounded up by advising and encouraging us all.

It was the turn of the hell governor 👑
"Congratulations graduates!! And welcome to your new brave world. We've got plenty of guidance for you in this book( he raised a copy of what I read to be, My own little world.)which would be distributed after my speech,as you make your first few steps into this new terrain.

Other chefs in the culinary school had one or two things to add and tell us. They had advices,some their stories in summary..

Certificates were issued,awards given out and words of encouragement said.
All in all it was beautiful and a very amazing event.
It was too good to be true,like we're finally done with culinary school,yeah huh!

"Ayaana Muhammad!,come onto the stage to receive your certificate please" ......Iike on cue, my heartbeat skyrocketed and started beating more faster than normal..

I stood up and went to the stage to receive my award not before scanning the whole hall in search of my family.
Just as I was about to raise my head thinking they haven't made it here,I snapped my head back to my left after having caught a glimpse of what made me gasp!......
