The end at the beginning II

            ..... Ayyana's POV....

I stood up and went to the stage to receive my award not before scanning the whole hall in search of my family.
Just as I was about to raise my head thinking they haven't made it here,I snapped my head back to my left after having caught a glimpse of what made me gasp!......
Standing in the hall is the woman I will forever cherish,love and adore! When everyone else thought I was good at nothing,she continued to motivate me and push me to be the best,that I can be the best,that I can fly high as the sky is my starting point,when I had no courage to go on,she was there,giving me the daily dose of her advises to keep me alive! When I had little or nothing to keep living for,when life threw me over,she was there to help me up and back on my feet!

Alhamdulillah here am I today,graduating and not only that,but as the best among the bestss! What more can I ask for Ya Allah! Nothing but just to be thankful for making this journey a beautiful one.

And on her face I see the most beautiful smile I have ever seen on anyone's face! The smile that has always left me to wonder what good deed I did in my previous life to be blessed with such a mother?.

Wait is she crying? Oops,tears of joy as she would call it. I'm just so elated now because the look on her face is that which says," I'm proud of my daughter.." And I'm not asking for anything more!
Then she blew me a kiss...

Standing next to her,is my father,the one who is,a living proof that a man doesn't need to give to give birth to you before he can become your father!
The man who took responsibility even when my own,my very own family refused to..
The man who has become a pillar we all rely on!
Surely,Allah provides when you call upon Him! Alhamdulillah!!

"Please step forward..." The voice from the sound system in the hall brought me back to reality.

As i ascend the stairs to the stage,I gave everyone there,the best smile I have ever had on my face,the prettiest, if you ask me too.

"And the award for the best graduating student who has shown true dedication, complete focus and utmost perseverance in her journey in this school,is no other person other than our very own Ayaana Muhammad Ali !!!..  Please put your hands together for it has never been easy for anyone that has made it this far.."

"And accompanying this award is an undisclosed amount of money for her to start up a business if she wants to and a golden ticket to be part of the International Nights of Chefs around the world ( INCW) happening in the Federal capital territory, Abuja, Ghana and Dubai! For three consecutive weeks!! Get ready for the nights of the bests! "

I've always dreamt of going to INCW one day and Ya Allah,I never thought it'd be this soon. Or am I dreaming? After pinching myself,I realized I wasn't dreaming and this is very much true!

I've heard about golden ticket and the international nights from our successors and few of our Senior chefs tell us about it. It happens for three weeks,fully funded.

The golden ticket covers all expenses, accommodation, food, flights, every damn thing...even shopping!!!!!

Good lord I think I'm going to pass out now,I can feel the hall spinning already,I need brace myself, I can't pass out on this stage, it's my graduation!

I think the shock on my face is so visible that's why he added "it's your hard work that brought you here,you're truly a champion"..

I really have no words right now,I'm just so happy!!
I'm smiling and laughing and crying I don't know what to say or do again!

"Congratulations,here's wishing you the very best here and always! Do you have a few words to share with us on this beautiful occasion?"

I nodded.
