April 22nd, 1925

Tanya and Cara were called to the northern strategic HQ to be assigned their next mission and report to the generals. Tanya hated these meetings, though Cara seemed happy, something told Tanya it wasn't genuine. It was to be expected, people could be very intolerant, and someone had decided to reveal their true nature as demi-humans. And well, the harassment towards the nurses had been going up, that was till, said women beat the soldiers to the ground. Once or twice Tanya had to defend Cara from stupid pranks, well, more like scold her soldiers before the raven-haired girl hurt them.

"What would they want now?" commented Tanya offhandedly to her companion. There was no more tension, it seemed like a power Tanya possessed.

"We already saw the creatures, I believe we will be given a strategy or report" Cara seemed a bit thoughtful. "Major, it would be better if you apply your historical knowledge now. If you have trouble" The girl turned towards the blonde with a smile and her hands behind her back. "I'll be there to help you! I might not be your adjutant... But I am your personal nurse and captain of my people. You're in good hands, Major Tanya Von Degurechaff"

"Shit, she's as cute as lieutenant Serebryakov. She seemed to have an interesting perfume on, I can smell it from here"

"U-Um... Thanks, Captain, its very kind of you"

The girl laughed knocking on the door and announcing their presence. When they got permission to enter they did so with the salute that was needed. Rerugen was there with General Rudersdorf, the former smoking a cigar. Tanya noticed Cara was staring at the top of people's heads, mainly General Kurt Von Rudersdorf's.

"Major Degurechaff, we need your opinion on the new strategy the northern headquarters have presented to us"

"Yes, sir" she got up from her place and began her speech. Everything she could remember was what she relayed. Yet, Marley wasn't as powerful as the countries that she had heard of in her other life. Plus, it was nothing compared to the annual war with Re-Estize, the Rhine. "The best option for us would be to reduce the front lines at the north to be able to have better control of supplies. This shall facilitate the offensive towards Marley's rebellion"

"We also have also received the designs for the new weapons, what is their development status?" asked Rerugen looking at Cara.

"They will arrive tomorrow morning. The experiments have already been done" said Cara calmly. It was more of a warning not to do anything else with them. Tanya wouldn't want that either, the scientist here was insane.

"They will be used to eliminate some of our more powerful opponents" added Tanya making the newest wave of tension vanish.

"I see, as usual, the suggestions made by officials are eloquent" commented Rudersdorf taking another puff of smoke. But Tanya could no longer smell it, it was as if the smoke was no longer entering her nostrils. She knew this had to be her captain's fault, she mentally thanked her for this. "What does the northern division think?"

"Its Major Degurechaff, am I right?" Lieutenant general Schreise was also smoking a cigar and looked like some kind of mandrill monkey. The boss of the northern state, Tanya had to keep her mouth shut from voicing that thought.

"Yes"

"We want this war to end as quickly as possible" of course. Everyone wanted that. "And yet, you seem well intent on dragging it past the winter months. I'm afraid your timetable simply doesn't work for us"

"Then you suggest extending this till winter," said Lieutenant General Schreise, the boss of the Northern state. "But we don't want that, we need to end this war now"
