Episode 2: Dog Catcher

Daniel started walking to his locker. He was distracted his thoughts until he bumped into someone. He helped her get the book that fell from her hand but they grabbed the book at the same time and gazed in each other's eyes.

"Mia?"

"Oh Daniel, I'm so sorry for-"

"It's okay. You don't have to worry about it." he replied. The moment they had was cut off by the bell ring. It's time for class.

"Let's go," she insisted, "We might be late for class."

"I'll walk you there. We have the same class anyway."

Little did they know, Gigi was filming the whole thing and posted it on her blog with the hashtag #Dia.

Then during last period, the students were partnered for their Algebra assignments.

"This week, I will be giving you a fifty-item assignment that you will be doing with your assigned partner." the teacher announced.

"Let's partner up." Jax whispered to Emma.

"Sure." she replied.

"Wanna be partners?" Mia whispered to Daniel.

"Sure, no problem." he answered.

"You know we're going to be partners on this one." Andi whispered to Philip.

"However, you will not have the freedom to choose your partner." the teacher continued, "Here are the list of partners I have assigned earlier."

"Let's just hope we'll be partners." Emma whispered to Jax.

"Okay, here's the final list. Sebastian and Gigi, Andrew and James, Maddie and Philip, Andi and Diego, Emma and Daniel, Jax and Mia." the teacher announced, "Today is Monday, these papers are due by Thursday."

"Dang it." they all complained. No one was perfectly paired by their own decisions except for Sebastian and Gigi.

"You're paired with Daniel. Yay, I'm having a blast. Ugh." he sarcastically complained. She chuckled.

After class, Emma, Jax, Philip, Andi, Mia, Diego, and Maddie were walking to their lockers and complained how their pairings were messed up.

"I'm paired with Philip, really?" Maddie complained.

"Deal with it." Philip told her. Little after their little conversation, Diego's phone suddenly beeped when Mrs. Jones passed by.

"Did I just hear a phone ring?" she asked. Everyone stayed silent and she walked away.

"What was that?" Maddie asked. Diego looked at his phone and had a huge smile on his face.

"He has a big smile on his face, what's happening?" Andi rapidly said.

"Mac and Tony are back." he announced.

"What?" everyone excluding Jax, Mia, and Philip shouted.

"Who's Mac and Tony?" Jax asked.

Little after he said that, Mac and Tony were walking at the other side of the hallway beside the Principal's Office. They ran to them and hugged them. It was a long time since everyone saw each other and so much has happened since then: the Fool Moon, the Kanay duel, etc. but then, Daniel came running, pushing all of them into the Principal's office.

"Daniel, what's wrong?" Mia asked.

"There's a pack of dogs running loose." he reported.

"An animal running loose, again!?!" Principal Alonso said in an angry manner, "Wasn't the kangaroo enough already?". Emma, Mia, Maddie, and Andi looked at Jax when Mr. Alonso said kangaroo.

"I'm calling animal control." he said before going out, leaving the gang to talk alone. They looked at each other to see who's missing, just to make sure. The last time an animal went loose it turned out to be Jax.

"You think this is something magic-related, again?" Daniel asked.

Andi replied, "You think?"

Then Jax said, "I'm going to Lily's office for my probation-"

"I'll go with you." Emma said.

"Why?" Daniel asked.

"I'm pretty sure the Council has something to do with this." she answered before they left which leaves Daniel, Andi, Philip, Mia, Diego, Maddie, Mac, and Tony in the office. It's quite crowded.

"I'm gonna go before Mr. Alonso gives me more unnecessary detention." Daniel said before leaving. In case you forgot, Daniel got a lot of detention slips from Principal Alonso before, A LOT.

Meanwhile, at the Nurse's Office, the Council had a discussion about Jax's probation and Andi's guardian status. Emma and Jax were outside, eavesdropping on them.

"You did what?" Lily shouted.

"It's not harmful. I'll fix it." Agamemnon replied.

"A pack of dogs are loose in school and they're the rebels at boot camp. They could do a lot more than just run around with their powers." Desdemona stated.

Jax and Emma accidentally pushed the door open which leaves them suspicious.
