You only get half a day of rest before Mochi waddles through Tamayo's house with his tail in the air and a smug look on his fat face. The plump ginger plops himself on your aching chest but you're in too much pain to move the feline as he stares you down with his green eyes.

You feel like the little shit is mocking you. He chirps and rubs his neck against your face until you get the hint and grab the letter attached to his silk ribbon with your teeth. You spit out a few tufts of fluff and squint your eyes to try and read the message but eventually you give up and have to call Yushiro to help you.

Mochi curiously sniffs Yushiro's legs and with a hiss he turns around and plods out the house. You can't help but snort at the offended look on the demons face. "You and Tanjiro have another mission, you must head South-southeast." He flicks the piece of paper into a bin and you sweat drop as you remember who you're about to meet.

"Yushiro? Has Advil been invented yet? I'm gonna need some to survive this.."

Thankfully Nezuko seems to have forgotten about the whole Muzan blood incident and you can't deny that you missed the way she clings onto your hand as you wave goodbye to Tamayo and Yushiro, more so to Tamayo. Yushiro just gets a middle finger and Tanjiro has to pull you away before the demon lunges.

"Why do you have to provoke everyone? Why can't we just make some friends for once, have a peaceful conversation?" Tanjiro grumbles as you drag your tired feet through the dirt.

You laugh. "Peace was never an option!" Tanjiro sighs dejectedly but doesn't protest as you hook your arm with his, only readjusts as to not to press where your bite mark was, the skin is completely healed but the extra attention he pays to it melts your heart. "And just so you know, Yushiro's the one that offended me by looking so ugly! I mean, his hair is literally colored like barf-"

"South-southeast! South-southeast!" Tanjiro's crow shrills, its sharp talons digging into your scalp as it lands. "South-southeast head to South-southeast" Tanjiro laughs nervously as you persistently swipe and smack at the crow who easily evades your attacks. "South-southeast!"

"I heard you! I heard you!" Tanjiro waves at the crow "Please quite down?"

The crow huffs "South-souteast-"

"Please!" You yelp as the crow jumps in surprise and digs its little feet further into your scalp. "Please! Please! Please!" Zenitsu's cries are so loud they nearly burst your ears "Please marry me!" The poor girl he's kneeling in front of looks incredibly fed up as he clings to her kimono with snot running down his face. "I could die any day, you know!? That's why I want you to marry me! Please please please I'm begging you!"

Tanjiro tenses next to you, his eyebrows raised high so high you fear they might fly away. "Wh- what's up with that? What on earth?"

"If you don't move it might not notice us, we can still escape." You wince as Zenitsu continues to beg, at this point you might hide in the bushes just to save your poor ears. A small chirp sounds and Zenitsu's sparrow lands on Tanjiro's hand. He flaps his wings around frantically as he chirps and Tanjiro occasionally nods and answers with a hum like he understands the small bird. You coo at the sparrow as he jumps to your shoulder.

"I see! Gotcha! I'll do something about it!" The sparrow sighs in relief.

You guffaw as Tanjiro marches to Zenitsu and picks him up by the scruff of his haori like an angry momma cat. "What do you think you're doing right in the middle of the road?! Can't you see she wants nothing to do with you? And don't go making any more trouble for your sparrow either!"
