Present Day

Drew was still trying to understand what was happening right in front of him. The archer was still pointing her arrow at his heart, for some reason the alias of a name he choose was actually a real name who was Damm sure hunted by archers? He guess.

" There's been a misunderstanding here" he began. The archer shot the arrow, he sidestep as quick as he could as the arrow hit the wall beside him, " I am not the man you seek" but the archer charge at him with a swing of her bow.
He blocked with his dagger but she kicked him in the gut sending him back, he grunts.
The archer drew another arrow as fast as his eyes could see and made a shot at his skull, he ducks not waiting for her to reload, threw his dagger knocking the bow off her hands.

Before she realizes what was happening, he speared her to the floor pinning her arms behind breathing heavily.

" I am not the enemy here, now can you let me..." He didn't finish his sentence before receiving a headbutt to the jaw drawing blood from his lips allowing separation. She then connected with a spinning heel kick dropping him flat on his ass.
Drew glanced up only to see the archer aiming another arrow at him.

" If you make one step, you are finished" she stated.

Was this some kind of another test? Drew thought. But as far as he could tell, the rooms next to him were still engaging in their sexual activities, or is it just for him only probably because he survived the first one.

" you really think lying was going to help you. You've caused the death of innocent southern men by taking away their only source of income for your own personal gains, now I will take everything from you!"

The gods! Is anyone not aware of what was going on right now!

" Tell her who you really are"

Drew heard the voice loud and clear, recognizing it to be Sigrid. He didn't say anything, if the witch trusted this strange woman then he had no problem. After all he was in life or death situation at the moment.

" My name is Drew Dalton. True son of the fallen king Edwin Dalton and i can help you find the man that you seek" he began looking her straight in the eyes.

" I told you to...." He cut her off.

" I swear by the gods, and besides why  would I pour out lies at this kind of moment. It is the truth and you can either take it or kill me, I am done fighting back" Drew stated.

She hesitated for some minutes before drawing back her bow and arrow. Drew breathes out a sigh of relief. " I thought you were going to kill me"

" Don't get your hopes up yet" she said and then took a seat on his bed. " Now, how can I find the real Arthur wegan of Bycot"

" Last I heard, the Lords of the West will be hosting a feast after the first round of tomorrow's tournament. Lord wegan will be there for sure" he answered still on the floor.

" How do you know this man" she threw another question.

" I know all the Lords... when i was a boy, my abducted uncle and I travelled a lot. During most of our journeys, he told me about all the Lords and how some of them did most of the things you mentioned. It's how I know" he adjusted his body a little, the blood on his mouth was dried off by now but the pain was still there and he was feeling it.

" Your abducted uncle? I don't get your tale" she said still holding her bow.

" That's because I haven't told you yet. It's not a fun story I like to talk about, but I need to know I can trust you because you can trust me" he assured.

" How do I know that" she retorted.

" I told you my real name, which is something I hold a secret since my arrival here." He says.

" Yes in a life or death moment you spill out to a total stranger. All I just need to do is put you in that state again and I'll get my answers" she replies.

The archer was right, but he wasn't going to tell her a witch told him too. If you look at it though, what's the use of keeping it if you are going to fucking die anyways. No one would care.

He told her just that except the witch part.

She removed her mask revealing her identity. Drew couldn't believe it. " Anna Den. Daughter of Fay Den, hmm, and you say my tale is complicated" he says smiling for the first time since being here. " Care to share"

" You first, with a drink" she replied.

" Alright" Drew smiles again..

           *********

" So your parents were killed by Varl the current king and you are still here playing stranger instead of slitting that bastard throat" Anna exclaims.

" It's not that simple and I can't.... Kill...him...yet" Drew stuttered with his words. They were still in his room with everyone asleep at the moment, so it was easy to snuck out to get a bottle of wine for both of them.

" You are a cunt Drew. My grandfather's death is what brought me here, and am willing to go any fucking length to kill them all in this book and you are telling me it's not that simple. They are your fucking parents!!" She yelled at him.

He was silent. Not because he didn't know what to say, in fact he wanted to yell back at her that he knew what to do but, " there is something going on that is way bigger than my personal revenge. Varl will get what is coming to him.. but not yet" he said.

Anna just shrugs and emptied her cup of red wine. He continued, " but I don't think your outburst is about my family is it? I think you are upset about something else but not ready to share yet" he studied her expression, and it shows he was right.

" Well looks like am not the only one who is holding something back that neither of us want to share. Get some sleep cunt, you'll need it" she replies already on her feet with her bow in hand placing her mask back on her face about to leave...

" You can't go around dropping dead bodies of high Lords and Commanders, it will raise suspicion especially during this time" Drew mentioned. For some reason, he was concerned about her safety which was strange because she barley said much about herself.

" Awwwwn! Are you worried about me" she pouts.

" I didn't say that" he pointed out.

" You didn't have too. I don't care what happens.. because everyone of them is going to wish I was the one that died" she stated before leaving his room.

Drew followed out of curiosity to know how she was going to leave the inn, but the moment he opened the door...

She was gone.
