Sitting in class just waiting for the bell to ring... How fun? I would walk right out, but it just so happens my school is strict.
I laid my head on the desk, and looked around at the room. The seats were in a row and not touching. Almost every seat was taken. Our class was decently big, so it wasn't a surprise. We had a test, so the class was somewhat quiet, still not quiet enough to hear a pencil drop, but quiet.
I looked up at the board. The board read "Test day". There were other words that faded, one word was clear and it read "mother fuckers" it was clearly not written in expo, and not meant to be there, either. I found it a bit funny, even though it was written by those kids who are complete brats.
I looked around at the kids and what they were wearing. We all had uniforms so what each person was wearing didn't differ. Some kids would change right when school ended, 'cause they couldn't stop you from not wearing your uniform after school. Other kids would alter the uniform and get in trouble. The guys altered it by normally pulling their pants as low as they could, it honestly looked quite stupid. The girls altered it by turning it into crop tops or unbuttoning to show cleavage. I didn't see why they felt the need to alter our uniform. Our uniform was a white button up shirt with a dark red jacket with yellowish gold buttons. The guys wore black jeans, while the girls had above knee length skirts. So it's not like it's that ugly or anything. I don't care that they alter it, it's just annoying 'cause it's always those kids who think they're cool or well hung.
I looked up at the time. "5 minutes left!" I whisper to myself.
I grab my stuff off my desk and put it back into my bag. I look around to see half the class is doing the same. The teacher had said nothing so far, so the kids who weren't paying attention to the time had no idea what was going on.
Our teacher, Mr. Walter, was a pain to have. He was strict, but also not. He slacked off himself, but when it came to his students, he'd yell at them for the smallest things. No one liked him too much. He was pretty old too, he had black hair but it was dyed to not show his gray hairs growing in.
I looked around to see if there was anyone I could talk to, to pass time. Of course, there was no one that I knew or even wanted to talk to. I wasn't that surprised though, I didn't really have friends, and my family has other matters to care about. I'm honestly fine with not having friends, they're annoying and bother me, so I prefer to just focus on my work instead of friends. I prefer to stay hidden and not be the center of attention, similar to a background character. It's just easier for me that way. Sadly, I can't do that. My looks stand out way too much. I'm overall short for a guy, and quite petite, so because of that I already stand out. Making it worse is I'm overall pretty pale with freckles dusted on my nose and under my eyes. The last thing making it much worse is my heterochromia. It makes my right eye blue, and my left brown. Because of this, people stop to stare at me. I don't blame them, I look weird.
Next thing I know, I hear the bell ring. I watched everyone rush over to the door pushing each other out into the hallway. "Heathens" I say in my head. I stand back and watch them all push their ways through to the hallway... I'd rather not go through the process to try to get in the hallway first. Once they all are gone, I walk out into the crowded hallway. It was decently empty, compared to how it might have been when people were rushing out. It was still really loud for how many people were in the hallway. "LUCA!!" I heard a voice behind me yell. Before I can turn around, I'm slammed against the locker. My collision with the locker made a loud sound, and it caught everyone's attention. I look forward and see Cole, the brat of the school, run back to his friends. They're in sports, and of course they get special treatment because of it. I've hated the whole group since I saw them. They act like everyone loves them, and treat those they find ugly as trash, because they want to.
I looked around at everyone around me. Some were still staring, while others had gone back to what they were doing. I grab my arm and walk out quietly. If I spoke up, I would just be silenced, so I find no point in it.
From there, I begin my short walk home. It was a bit cold, and I didn't have an extra jacket. It wasn't much of a problem, though. I live decently close to the school. Actually, the school is built right in front of my neighborhood! It's a quick walk there and home, which is great! The only problem is my little sister. Her school is right next to mine, but my parents want me to walk her all the way there. Lucky for me, I don't have to pick her up, because her school gets out before mine, and my parents don't want her waiting. They're quite over protective of her. I'm a bit jealous, but I don't care too much.
Once I got home, I was tired. I opened the door and set my backpack on the rack and took my shoes off. My mom was sitting in the kitchen reading a book. She looked up at me and said, "Welcome home Luca!" I gave her a small smile and headed upstairs.
My sister, of course, was digging through my room. Once she saw me, she ran out. "Why are you in my room!?" I screamed, grabbing her arm. "I-I was just looking for my gloves...!" I let go of her arm and she ran off to her room. Whatever she was doing, she clearly wasn't looking for her gloves. I know this because she doesn't have gloves. I walked into my room and began checking to see if everything was in its place. Good for me... IT WASN'T! Almost everything was scattered. I started checking for the things she might take. Money? It was where I left it. Manga and anime? Where I left it, it was a bit scattered around though. Phone? GONE! "Agghhhh LILLY GIVE ME MY PHONE BACK!" I screeched running into her room. She was laying on her bed with my phone. Once she saw me she jumped up. I glared at her and demanded, "Give me my phone!" She stared in silence and held up the phone quietly. What was on the screen was porn. She was 13, so she knew exactly what porn was, so it's not like I could hide what it was. I felt my face begin to burn. "AGH GIVE ME THAT!" I ran up and snatched the phone from her. I stomped back to my room, and once I shut my door I heard her laughing. I cleared my search history, and just tried to ignore the fact my sister found porn on my phone.
"Luca!" I jolted up. "Dinner is ready!". I heard a shout from down stairs. I fell asleep. It didn't seem long, because when I came home, dinner was cooking. I got up and ran downstairs, to be greeted by my mother, father, and little sister, all of them sitting and waiting for me. "Finally, Luca!" My dad said, and immediately started eating. I sat down and looked at the food. My mom had made catfish, with a side of mac and cheese. I wasn't too hungry, but my mom would worry if I didn't eat. Mostly because I haven't been eating at the dinner table for a while. I pick up my fork and force the food into my mouth. I felt a bit sick. I never like forcing myself to do anything, but moreover I don't like worrying those around me. "So, Luca, how was school?" My mother said, looking over at me. I look up with a mouth full of fish. "Eh, it was okay". My mother's concerned smile turned into a frown. "You give the same response every time... Are you sure everything is fine?". "Yeah, school is just boring as always every time." I responded. My parents looked at each other with a concerned look on their faces. They began to stop bothering me, and asked my sister questions. Both knew they wouldn't get much out of me. I finished quickly, and ran upstairs.
I ran into the bathroom and immediately puked up my food. It was hard to keep it down, but I made an attempt to. I turned on the shower to heat-up the water, and make sure my parents didn't hear me throwing up.
After puking, then showering, I dried off and headed straight to my room. I normally go to sleep early, because just going to school and being there tires me. Lucky for me, it's Wednesday, meaning 2 more days 'till the weekend. I don't really look forward to the weekend... Well I don't look forward to anything, but the weekend is always a break from going to school and dealing with my classmates' bullshit.
I laid down in my bed, and almost immediately drifted to sleep.
