NICOLE'S POV

Kabilaang putukan ang naririnig mula sa labas ng bahay. Shuttering frames and mirrors from walls caused by bullets.

Screams, unending infant crying, sobbing Nicole in a corner, and prayers from a lady. No one knows and dares to fight back.

It all continues until armed men footsteps approaches inside the house.

Poor baby Nicole take her body in an open cabinet, shivering and sobbing. She keeps on covering her mouth and forcing herself not to make a noise.

*BANG! BANG! BANG! *

Nicole jolted with three gunshots that echoed around the room makes a baby cried louder upstairs.

After a moment, she heard something rooling in the stairs and a little cry from a baby that makes her eyes grew wider. She wants to scream for her predictions but she's so scared to come out.

"umalis na tayo boss patay na ang mga ito!" - a shaking voice of a man says in a hurry.

"ba't ka ba takot na takot tarantado!" - sabi ng ikalawang boses.

"siguraduhing niyong wala ng natira kahit mga kasambahay!" - sigaw ng pangatlo ng boses.

"walang ibang tao maliban sa kanilang tatlo. At boss parang kulang sila."- inporma ng pag-apat na boses kaya napapikit at mas lalong natakot.

"parating na ang mga police! let's go!" - another voice seemed to be the boss.

"yes boss!" - sunod sunod na sang-ayon ng apat na boses.

The moment she heard a footsteps going out of the door, a sirens from a police car is approaching near the house.

Little nicole peeks outside where she's at and make her way out the cabinet which makes her scream when she saw her baby brother in the floor full of blood. Her trembling body increased when she saw her parents dead body beside the couch.

"MOOOMMM! DADDDDDD!!!!"

Nicole's trembling when she woke up from a dream, definitely a nightmare from the past. Her eyes were covered with tears, she's sobbing uncontrollably. All she could do is cry and cry for those unforgettable memories that keeps on haunting her since then.

Lagi nalang niyang napapanaginipan and eksenang yun kaya lagi ay pinapangarap niyang bumilis ang oras para makaganti at mailabas na niya ang sakit ng kanyang pinagdaanan.

After an half of an hour she pull herself together and look at her wall clock pointing 3:25 am. She sighed.

Here we go again...

She got up from bed and make her way to the bathroom and look first at the mirror.

My eyes are swelling as my nose's red as hell. I washes my face and brushed my teeth. After that I prepare myself for a workout.

'you'll get through this nicole'

She kept that in mind every morning after that hellish dreams.

Dripping sweat, nicole keeps on doing curl ups for a hundreds of counts now. Palagi siyang nagwowork out dahil palagi din naman ang kanyang bangungot mula sa nakaraan. Ginagawa niya ang mga bagay bagay para matakpan ang bad vibes at yun ang pagwo-workout.

She did a lot of workout exercises after she decided to take a rest and prepare for school. Malapit na rin ang graduation kaya di na siya masyadong nababahala sa skwelahan.

Two more months and I can start arranging things where it should be.

A smile crept in her lips.

NAGING ABALA ang lahat ng instructors sa kanilang skwelahan dahil sa kani kanilang trabaho for finalizing stuffs.

Nicole is sitting near the window and watching players in the field. She's unbothered on how her classmates are making noises inside their room.

Then suddenly, she felt someone is approaching her so she waited.

"Ms. Alvares follow me at the office." - a middle aged teacher said so I looked at her and bow.

I stand up and let her go first.

"Sit down Ms. Alvares." - she said when we got in her office so I take a seat and roamed my eyes around the room.

"What is it Miss?"- I asked and looked at her dryly.

Miss and Sir ang tawag sa mga instructor dito sa school.

"With your performances I can say that you're aware that you'll be a Magna, right?" - she asked with a grin in her lips.

I just smile at her and nodded.

"Okay, I see you don't want to talk so I just want to tell you that as your adviser since first day I'm so proud of you. Well except your attitude sometimes." - she grimace on her words while grinning.

" I'll take that as a compliment then." - I said and smile at her geniunly.

She is so patient teaching and talking to me since then. Wala siyang asawa't anak kaya masyado syang close sa studyante niya.

Marami pa syang sinabi bago ako umalis.
