DENIAL SERIES: BOOK 1

I am Nicole Claine Alvares , a college student.
Independent as how it should be since I've been alone since then. I'm in forth year and doing my very best to graduate. I wanted to make things settled before I search for them.

Late hour in the evening and still Nicole's up reading her start up business book. Nothing's new, that's how she starts and end her day. It's not shocking if she's on top in school. Always been advanced compared to her classmates. She's genius enough that she can correct her instructors.

"Oh hi Nicole! Can I join you?" - a guy asked her.

She just looked at him and leave taking her food. Hindi naman siya maldita pero she used to do ignoring people who she thinks a waste of time to talk to. Nasanay na siyang kumakain mag-isa pag nasa skwelahan.

She stopped walking when she saw a tabled bench under a pretty big tree. She starts eating her food up when she felt something is keeps on lerking at her. She keeps on observing it as she continuously eat. Masyado siyang seryuso kapag sa ganito ng sitwasyon, madali siyang magalit pag may hindi siya nagustuhan. One death glare means stop.

Maiksing minuto ang ginugol nya bago sya natapos kumain at napagpasyahang umalis. Napakunot noo sya dahil sa kanina. Binalewala niya iyon at pumasok na sa room nila. Mabilis pa sa kidlat ang pagtahimik ng mga kaklase niya pagkapasok. Buntong hininga nalang syang tumuloy sa kanya ng upuan at binuksan ang cellphone.

It beeped as she open it.

"So serious, why don't you smile?"

Her brows shots as she read the message and silently looked at her side  and front. She didn't feel something weird so she ignore the message and deleted it. After that, an instructor entered their room and started discussing.

" NC IS there something your up to?" - Gail asked while combing her straight hair.

She rolled her eyes.

"Nothing, why?" - mahinang sagot niya habang nasa libro ang kayang paningin.

"hayss anjan ka na naman sa pagbubulong mo di kita maintindihan! At tsaka bakit dika nagsasalita ngayon?" - madaldal nitong tanong habang nakaingos sa kanya.

"Since when did I make noises?" - Nicole asked sarcasticly and looked at Gail who's now in shock.

"Wow, I didn't know you can speak such more than three words!" - she act so shock while covering her mouth that makes Nicole grimaced.

Gail is her accompany since she's second year and Gail's first year at her dorm. She really worked hard when it comes to Nicole, she keeps on talking to her and it's enough for her if she gets a word. Nicole got attached to her without Gail knowing it. That's her defense mechanism, pretending not to care and attached for no one.

For 2 years together, Gail doesn't really know things about her. Nicole's just with her books and phone minding her own world. Masyadong masikap si Gail sa pagkuha nito ng attensyon mula kay Nicole.

" Let's eat." - sabi ni Nicole sabay tayo at dumiretso sa kusina at naghanda ng plato at kubyertos habang si Gail ay namamanghang nakamasid dito. Hindi sya nito inaaya kapag kakain siya, kung meron mang araw ay bilang lang.

" What's really wrong with you today NC? care to tell me?" - nagtataka parin nitong tanong.

Hindi sumagot si Nicole at nagpatuloy lang sa paghahain tsaka lang ito sumagot pagkaupo niya.

" Am I not allowed to do this?" - tanong nito habang naglalagay ng beef steak sa plato.

" It's not that girl but look at you! You're talking to me! You also insist to eat with you like you never do that!" - pasigaw nitong sabi habang nasa plato ang attensyon.

Nicole just smirked shortly and starts eating.

"wait you smiled! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh my goodness!" - sigaw ulit nito tsaka tumayo patungo sa kanya para umakap ngunit dipa ito nakalapit ay nakatanggap siya ng masamang tingin.

"just eat you big mouthed witch" - malumanay na sabi ni Nicole Kaya di nalang masyadong nag ingay si Gail ngunit di mawala wala ang ngiti nito.

"This girl is unbelievable."
