It Started with a Kiss

Amber's POV:

"Should we wake her?" James asks me as we stare at our sleeping sister.

"No, she needs her rest," I reply.

"I'm pretty sure she's gotten rest. It's 12 o'clock in the afternoon." James tells me.

"Well, she needs more. We know she has had a lot on her mind lately," I mentioned.

"Good point. Okay, I'm hungry. See ya," James says with a wave.

"Of course you are, because what else would you do with your free time except eat," I roll my eyes at my brother's constant eating then leave the room in which I awoke.

Sofia's POV:

[45 minutes later]

I hear a voice say, "Shh, we have to be very quiet not to wake her."

Another voice speaks, "I'm trying, but having wings makes it more difficult to be quiet, unlike with your soft paws."

"And... it's done! She will be so surprised." The first voice whispers.

I am finally fully awake from my slumber to see my animal friends.

"Hi guys," I say, tiredly rubbing my eyes. "What are you up to?"

"Ta-da!" Clover says as he steps out of the way of a metal tray.

"Oh, guys, how sweet of you all," I say when I see the crisp pink apple tart that my furry friends made me.

I rise from my soft mattress and walk over to eat the sweet treat. "It's so good, thank you. But I mustn't spoil my..." I look at my clock to see that it is almost 2 o'clock in the afternoon. "Late lunch," I giggle, finishing what I was saying before. I honestly can't believe I slept that long. That's usually what Amber does, not me.

I head to my large walk-in closet to find what to wear for the day. "Mia, Robin, can you help me find something to wear?"

"Sure." They agree happily.

"Do you want to wear purple, purple, purple, or the occasional blue?" Robin asks.

I laugh, "Hm, good question. Can you pick out something that tells everyone I'm in a great mood?"

"Oh, of course," Mia says.

My bird friends fly around my closet in search of the perfect gown. They both stop and nod at one another. "We think that you would look amazing in this beautiful dress." They say while holding the hanger of a gorgeous magenta and purple gown.

The dress had purple, swirl embellishments that decorated the bodice and went down the arms to create sleeves and a neckline. Purple satin that matched the colored embellishments covers the dress's primary layer with a couple magenta-colored tulle over that.

"It's beautiful!" I say in awe. "Are you sure I can pull that off?"

"Of course your can!" They tell me.

"If you say so." I put on the dress.

"Wow!" Mia gushed. "You look gorgeous!"

"Thanks, guys," I say with appreciation.

"Here is a tiara," Mia shows me one with magenta jewels.

"And here are some shoes," Robin shows me a pair of purple heels bedazzled with magenta jewels as well.

I slip on the shoes and let Mia place the tiara on my freshly brushed hair, thanks to Clover.

"Thank you so much, guys! What would I do without you? I will talk to you later. I have to go visit with my family."
