"Looks like we have a new neighbour," the brunette boy says as he collects his mail from his mailbox, "We do?" Y/N asks her neighbour also collecting her mail. "Yeah I think his names Luke or something, he's Australian," "How do you already know so much about him, Adam?" Y/N laughs filing through her mail, scrunching her nose up at the envelopes that are bills. "Because I asked Claire, you know what she's like, she knows everything about everyone in this building," Adam says making Y/N laugh again at the accuracy of Adams description of their gossip queen neighbour, she was a middle aged woman working in retail who likes to be involved in everyone's business. "This is true, well lets hope he's attractive," Y/N winks before pressing the elevator button, Adam waves goodbye as Y/N waits for the elevator, her foot tapping against the tiled lobby floor as she day dreams about their new neighbour, she's brought out of her day dream by the elevator doors opening revealing a tall blond stranger, his baby blues connecting with her eyes, a smile on his face as he brushes past her, the smell of lynx engulfing her senses as he slips out of the lobby doors, Y/N shakes her head breaking herself out of the daze the stranger left her in. She quickly steps into the elevator pressing her floor number, her mind still dazed thanks to the handsome stranger that smelled of heaven.

"Adam!" Y/N calls out to her neighbour as he steps out of his apartment, "Y/N hey!" Adam smiles, "I met our new neighbour," Y/N grins "You did? What does he look like?" Adam questions excited that another male had moved into the mostly female apartment block, "He's blond with blue eyes as deeps as the pacific ocean, and he smells so good," Y/N says dreamily a small smile on her lips as she describes their neighbour, "Wait you smelt him?" Adam laughs breaking her out of her daze, "No! He walked past me and his scent lingered!" she defends glaring at her neighbour. "Whatever you say, Y/N," Adam teases before bidding his goodbyes. Y/N turns back to walk back into her apartment accidentally running into something solid, she stumbles backwards luckily regaining her balance before she landed on her ass and embarrassing herself. "Shit, I'm sorry are you okay?" the thick Australian accent questions, "I'm okay," Y/N smiles looking up at the handsome stranger she was describing not even 10 minutes ago, her heart beating fast as she realises his hands are holding her forearms, "Good, sorry for running into you I was too busy looking at my phone to see you," Luke rambles his hand rubbing the back of his neck nervously as the other drops to his side, "It's okay, don't worry about it," Y/N grins "I'm Luke by the way," Luke smiles, his dimples appearing slightly, "Y/N," she smiles biting her lip slightly, "So um you live here?" he asks awkwardly looking around the small confined hallway lined with doors. "Yeah just down the hall," she says pointing to her door, "You just moved in didn't you?" she asks looking up at him, "Yeah, couple of days ago. You're the first neighbour I've met," Luke chuckles, "I am? Well welcome to our apartment block, if you need anything you know where to find me," she smiles cringing inwardly at her awkwardness, luckily Luke smiles brightly at her before thanking her and walking towards the elevator, a wave of arousal washes over Y/N as she watches his back muscles move against the black fabric that's covering his torso. She quickly looks away as he steps into the elevator, immediately scolding herself for openly checking him out in such a public place. Y/N walks back to her apartment texting Adam as she does so, 'Just made a fool of myself in front of our hot new neighbour.' She texts Adam, 'Oh god, what did you say!?' Adam replies almost immediately, Y/N groans outwardly as she types what she said to Luke, pressing send she sits on her couch head in her hands at how stupid Luke must think she is, she glares at her phone as she reads Adam's laughing emojis. She sends a quick 'fuck you' before watching tv to distract herself from her conversation with Luke.

The next time Y/N sees Luke is when he's in the laundry room, looking at the washing machine with a lost look on his face. "You alright there?" she asks stifling a giggle with her hand as she places her laundry basket on top of the many washing machines. "No, I have no idea how to work this machine," he groans, "What seems to be the problem?" she asks standing beside him staring at the white machine, "I don't know how to open it," he mumbles looking down at the ground, Y/N feels her heart flutter at the sight, "Here," she smiles pushing the lid up, "Oh," he laughs, "I've never actually done laundry before," he says rubbing the back of his neck, "Do you want me to teach you?" she asks smiling, "Would you?" he asks, hope gleaming in his baby blues, "Sure," she grins moving her basket next to his and getting to work on his laundry, "Thanks so much for this Y/N," Luke grins as they wait for their washing to wash, "No worries, I couldn't exactly leave you staring at the washing machine all day could I?" she laughs leaning on an unused machine, "I would've figured it out!" he defends, but ends up laughing with her knowing full well he wouldn't have worked it out without her help. "Y/N?" Luke asks as she pulls out her now clean and dry washing from the dryer, "Yeah?" she asks hoisting the basket up into her arms, "Would you like to come over for a drink one night?" he asks, his nerves swirling around in his stomach like butterflies. "I would love that, Luke," she smiles before walking out of the laundry room, leaving a smile on both of their faces.
