Valentines Day.
A day of pure bliss.Or, if you're a freckled lightning ninja who plans on asking his three-year-long crush to be his Valentine, then you'd be filled to the brim of the bucket with nervousness.
Jay has a crush on Nya. It's painfully obvious, and everyone in their school knows about it.
Strangely enough, however, Nya doesn't seem to notice any romantic feelings toward her from Jay, and no one seems to be able figure out how she doesn't notice it.
It was February 13, and Jay was just about to head off for his and Nya's "Hammock Night" as they called it. A night where they go to a park, hang up a hammock, climb in, and talk about pretty much anything. It's a night for just them, away from the other ninja.
"Hammock, pillows, and Nya will bring the blankets," Jay thought to himself, checking off his mental list.
"Jay, are you leaving soon?"
"U-uh, in 5 minutes, Mom."
"Do you have the mistletoe, sweety?" Edna asked with a smile, while her offspring's face dipped itself in red dye, along with lowering into his scarf.
"Mom..." he mumbled, "that's a Christmas thing..."
"Oh, I know deary; I'm just so excited for tomorrow!" she exclaimed excitedly.
"I'm just hoping she says yes..." Jay whispered as he picked up his stuff, "I should probably get going now. See you later."
"Love you, Jay!"
"Love you too, Mom!"
Jay then started the walk to Ninjago City's Central Park, where he and Nya went to almost every night to talk with each other.
OoOoOoOoOoOoO (Mah first time skip. woo.)
"Hey Jay!" Nya exclaimed, barely being able to stand the wait for her favorite time of day.
"H-hey Nya," Jay stuttered, "You have the blankets?"
"Of course I do," she said gesturing to her backpack.
"Good."
They started walking over the grass and climbed up a hill with two trees halfway up the short trail to the top. They were about five feet apart. This is where they always came for their night out, and it gave them a beautiful view of the rest of the park. When the sun went down, that was the best time of all. Countless stars, about as many as the freckles on Jay's face, Nya once said. As to how they see all those stars with the millions of lights around them, no one may ever know.
Despite the strange vision these two seem to have, the stargazing was their favorite part of going into the park every night, of course setting aside being with each other for several hours completely undisturbed.
They began setting up the hammock, and after that, the two ninja grabbed the blanket and pillows.
"One blanket? That's weird..." Jay thought to himself, "Uh, hey Nya, I think you forgot a blanket."
"Oh, I forgot one?" she looked over at Jay's hands, "Oh shoot, I did. Uh, you okay with sharing it?"
That question caused Jay to blush. But he couldn't make Nya go back to her house just for an extra blanket, and he'd be lying if he said he'd rather go and get a blanket himself than share a single blanket with Nya.
