Promoted?! - Chapter Two

Months go by, and now Albedo and Sucrose were almost experts of alchemy. Jean and the Knights of Favonius had been studying the amazing work of Albedo and Sucrose. They were certainly amazed, along with Albedo's artistic side.

Albedo was by Timaeus crafting and such. Jean came up to him.

"Hey, Albedo, sorry to bother but whenever you are done, can you stop by my office? I want to have a word in private."

Albedo looked up. "Of course."

Jean thanked him and walked off. Albedo dusted off his clothes and figured he'd go see Jean now before he'd forgotten. He walks up the stairs to the Knights of Favonius castle and heads in. He knocks on Jean's door.

"Come in." She says.

Albedo respectfully comes in and stands in front of Jean's desk.

"You may have a seat."

He accepts and sits. "So, what's up?"

Jean cleared her throat. "I've been noticing a lot of work done by you recently and everyone is loving it. You are a true hard worker indeed. It's so nice to finally have a true alchemist in Mondstadt along with Sucrose. The townspeople love you two, and they are learning more and more about Mondstadt and Teyvat as we speak!" She smiled.

"I'm so honored to have you as a citizen in Mondstadt, and Sucrose."

Albedo was thankful. "Thank you so much, Acting Grand Master. I.. I really don't know what to say. It's a pleasure."

Jean looked at her desk, still smiling and then looked at him. "Now, I have been thinking. Over the past months, the improvement of your studies are outstanding. So, therefore.. overtime I have been thinking of promoting you to the captain of the Investigation Team of the Knights of Favonius, with Sucrose as your assistant."

Albedo liked this! "Oh my, that's amazing."

"I'd also like to refer you as the Chief Alchemist of Mondstadt, Kreideprinz."

"Oh my, this is so amazing. Thank you so much Jean. I really can't thank you enough."

Jean placed her hand over his. "Keep up the good work. Everyone is loving it." She smiled as Albedo left and he went to search for Sucrose.

She was, well, experimenting as usual.

"Hello, Sucrose." He said.

"Oh! Albedo! I saw you go into the Knights of Favonius castle earlier.. are.. you in trouble?"

"No, no, I have amazing news from Jean." He tells Sucrose about the promotion between the two of them.

"Oh!! That's so exciting! We've been promoted!" She cheered.

"We should celebrate." Albedo suggested.

"Yeah! But.. what shall we do as a celebration?"

"You can pick, while I paint some scenery in the meantime."

"Wait.. I wanna come, so I don't have to run around looking for you.." She said quietly.

"Of course."

He set up on one of the towers and sketched the land of Teyvat in front of him in the amazing view. Sucrose watching, cheerfully, and thinking of what they could do to celebrate.
