She unconsciously wept her tears when the final credits were shown. Lalo tuloy niya namiss si Gerald. He could have been sitting next to her in the same plane right now, watching the same movie, holding her hand each time she gets scared of turbulence. She tried to shake off the lonely thoughts.
She knows she can't do anything at this point. He had to go to Canada with Sam dahil hindi makakapunta si John Lloyd. There was no easy way to break the news to her. She cried over it because this time, he was the one who can't make it. They both tried to understand the situation. As far as both of them are concerned, work comes first before anything else. After all, it was not the first time na nasira ang mga plano nila just because of work or conflicting schedules.
"Babe, wag ka na magtampo please? Kailangan ko talaga bumalik ng Manila bukas, may last minute rehearsals dahil nagbago ang lineup ng guests." She broke the news to him over the phone. They were planning to stay in Davao after her concert and he made arrangements for their first beach vacation. He's been planning for this since she got back from her US tour. Unfortunately, she had to beg off at the last minute and he did not take the news well.
"Excited pa naman ako sa bakasyon natin, ngayon na nga lang lumuwag ang sked natin dalawa tapos hindi ka naman pala makakasama. Hindi ba magagawan ng paraan yan nila Kuya Gerrome? Do you want me to talk to him?" He kept thinking of ways on how he could convince her to stay with him.
"Ge, huwag na natin ipilit please? Alam naman natin na gagawa at gagawa si Kuya ng paraan kung meron pa talagang ibang options kaso wala talaga eh. Hindi pwedeng mawala ang segment na yon. Babe, please try to understand. Hindi ko naman pwede sabihin na hindi ako makakapunta dahil magbabakasyon tayo diba? Mag-plan na lang tayo uli, kahit hindi sa Davao."
He sulked over the fact that their work keeps coming in between them and their plans. As much as he wants to make her choose between him and her work, he knows it will not do them any good. Not even once did she complain of his schedule. There were times where she could have complained how busy he was playing basketball with his friends instead of visiting her at home on her rest day but she knew it was something that makes him happy so she kept quiet about it. He would make it up to her by bringing home her favorite frozen yoghurt when he visits her after his basketball game.
In the end, he went ahead with his vacation without her. She insisted that he can't let his friends down just because of her. As much as she wants to join them, hindi na siya nagpumilit pa, hindi niya maamin kay Gerald na hindi siya comfortable na kasama ang ilan sa mga kaibigan niya. Bukod sa nahihiya siya sa kanila, hindi naman siya ganun ka-close sa ibang handler na kasama ni Gerald. He told her the night before na gusto sumama ng mga kaibigan ni Ate Nhila and he asked her kung ok lang sa kanya ito. She just said it's up to him dahil siya naman ang punong abala sa trip na iyon but at the back of her mind she prefers to have him all to herself on their first beach vacation. She values their privacy after all. Just like what Edward and Bella had on their honeymoon.
He just woke up from a long nap when he suddenly remembered to check Sarah's itinerary. He needs to check the time if he can still make it in time for Sarah's arrival in Rio. He can't believe his luck. Hindi niya akalain na na-postpone ang shooting ng kanilang pelikula dahil kailangan bumiyahe ni direk para sa isang filmfest sa Monaco. He received the good news from his handler while waiting for his turn on stage. Agad agad naman ito nagpatulong na magpabook ng one way ticket from Toronto to Brazil. He immediately got in touch with Teacher G to let her know of his plans and they agreed to keep it a secret from Sarah. If all goes well, he can finally fulfill one of his promises to her.
"Sars, ok ka lang? Have you been crying?" nagaalalang tanong ni KC.
"Ay sorry, nagising ba kita? Napanuod ko kasi Twilight, nadala ako sa mga eksena kaya ayan naiyak ako, babaw ko diba? Naku, wag mo ako pansinin, sige tulog ka na uli, Kace."
"Awww, yun lang ba talaga or may naalala ka kay Edward? Uyyy miss mo na siya? Don't worry Sars, mabilis lang naman ang 1 week, will make sure na mag-eenjoy tayo nang bongga para mabawasan ang pag emote mo dyan. Cheer up na, ok? Alam ko na, order tayo food! Medyo gutom na din ako eh. Ano gusto mo?" She called the FA's attention and ordered food for her and Sarah.
She can't be thankful enough na si KC ang kasama niya sa trip. She realized that she can learn a lot from her. Walang pretentions, very independent, well-travelled, articulate and someone who has a big heart. But what endears her more to her is the fact that she treats her like family. Hindi madaling makahanap ng mga totoong kaibigan sa showbiz pero hindi lang siya nakahanap ng kaibigan kay KC, she found a sister in her. She knew she can trust her when it comes to Gerald.
KC invited her for dinner after they bumped into each other at ABS. Paalis na sana si Sarah pagkatapos ng rehearsals niya nang makasalubong niya ito galing sa taping ng Kris TV. Sakto naman na hindi pa tapos ang shooting ni Gerald kaya naman pinaunlakan niya ang invitation ni KC. Matagal na rin sila hindi nagkakamustahan dahil naging abala si Sarah sa kanyang US tour.
They bonded over dimsum and milk tea sa condo ni KC sa Makati. Masayang ikinuwento ni Sarah ang mga nangyari sa kanyang US tour. Nabanggit naman ni KC na nasa New York siya nung mga panahon na yon at gusto sana niya sumunod sa Hawaii para makanuod ng concert ni Sarah pero napa aga ang balik ni KC sa Pilipinas.
"Sana makasama kita sa next concert ko, I'm sure masaya yon!" Pinakita niya kay KC ang mga pictures at videos from her US tour na naka-compile sa Ipad niya. Hindi naman nakalampas kay KC ang madalas na pagsigaw ng pangalan ni Gerald from the audience at ang reaction ni Sarah everytime the fans will tease her. Ilang beses din siya tinukso ng mga guests niya on stage.
"Grabe, kamusta naman ang clamor ng mga fans nyo Sars! Wagas lang makasigaw ng name ni Gerald. Akala ko tuloy special guest sya sa concert mo beh! Ramdam na ramdam ko ang emotions mo sa Forever's not enough ha! Ang ganda ng rendition mo, grabe nakaka in love! Ang swerte naman ng magiging one true love mo!" Halatang kilig na kilig si KC sa napanuod na video. She was singing her signature song but this version was different. There was something in her voice. It was as if she was singing it in front the love of her life. At this point, there was no reason to hide it. She told KC the real score between her and Gerald.
