mine // Mattheo riddle

Celeste's POV

          It's been a few days since the astronomy tower. classes were normal and boring as always.. nothing exciting has happened, but today we're going to hogshead. I'm very excited. everyone changed into regular clothing and ran outside, eager to leave. I was getting nervous because I couldn't find my permission slip that would allow me to go. I searched my whole room, practically tearing it apart when I came to the conclusion it wasn't there.

          I huffed and walked outside to inform mcgonagall that I would not be attending this trip. I was upset but I could always just sneak out and go. I walked back inside the school and headed to the library on my day off. When I entered. noticed a few of the other kids who wouldn't be going; my ex friend, Adrienna bones, Adrian Pucey, Mattheo Riddle, and a few more kids I wasn't familiar with. I walked over to the fire place and sat down in front of it with my book.

          As I was reading, I could feel someone staring at me. I didn't turn around, because I didn't care. Lets them stare. I continued reading my book when I felt someone sit down next to me. I look up to see Adrieanna.

"what do you want?" I shot her a look

she forced a smile "how have you been?" she questioned me

I scoffed "why do you care? you never did before. shove off adrieanna" I rolled my eyes and got up from my spot. 

          I looked around the library to find someone to save me from her. my two options were Adrian, my ex, and Mattheo, probably a psychopath like his dad. I made my way over to Mattheo and sat on the couch across from him. he slowly looked up at me. I smiled and continued reading.

"do you need something?" he quietly asked whilst staring me down

I looked up from my book "no, just some company"

          he nodded and went back to reading. every so often I would look up and see him looking at me, but would quickly look back down. we read in silence for about two hours when I got bored and decided to leave. I wanted to go sit at the black lake, despite it being winter.  I walked to the common room and put on warm clothing. I then proceeded to make my way outside, to the lake. there weren't many teachers around today, so it was easy to eave the building. 

          I walked outside and looked around. Hogwarts was beautiful when it snowed. I smiled at the cold crisp air and walked down. I kicked some snow off of the dock and sat down. I shivered at the coldness, but it was a nice kind of cold. even though I love the sun, snow days are my absolute favorite. I heard someone walking behind me and shot my head around. I look to see the one and only, Mattheo Riddle walking towards me.

"following me, Riddle?" I laugh

he shook his head "no." he said sternly

"Then why are you here?"

"am I not allowed to sit at the docks?" he questioned

I shook my head "no, you are" 

          he didn't say anything back, he just sat down next to me. I picked up a rock and tossed it onto the frozen lake. it was kind of awkward between us, we were just there doing and saying nothing.

"how's school so far?" I asked 

"I hate this school." he replied

I tilted my head "and why is that?"

he looked down at his hands "everyone gets on my damn nerves. at least I do well in my classes right?" he forced a sarcastic laugh

I laughed and nodded "yes I guess that is good... well, not everyone must get on your nerves, since your here talking to me?" I said

he looked at me "well, with that question your making it easy to get on my nerves"

"ah so it's like that? I'll keep that in mind for the next time you decide to follow me" I smiled.

he scoffed "who says there will be a next time?"

"well once you see i'm not just an annoying Hufflepuff, there probably will be" I winked

          he scoffed and shook his head. we sat in silence for about 5 minutes when I got up and decided to walk to the great hall.

"where are you going?" he called after me

I stopped and turned around "uh, the great hall?"

he stood up and jogged over to me "great im hungry"

"I told you there would be a next time" I shook my head and walked in front of him.

          we made our way into the great hall and sat at one of the tables. we didn't really talk, we just ate. after that the rest of the school came back and everyone went there opposite directions. I stood up and started walking to the bathroom when I felt someones arm around my shoulder.

"hello love" Lorenzo whispered into my ear

I giggle "hello Enzo. how was hogsmeade?"

"it was quite boring without you there, but it was okay." he responded

"i'm flattered im the reason im your fun- wait, should I be flattered?"

he laughed and nodded "I guess you should be. how was your day?"

"well, I actually spent it with riddle-"

"riddle? why were you hanging out with him? he could be dangerous celeste." he cut me off

I tilted my head "I- Lorenzo calm down.. we only sat at the black lake for an hour" 

he gave me a look "I don't want you to hang out with him anymore. I don't want to take any chances with you okay?" he pleaded

"Lorenzo why do you care about the so much? him and I aren't even friends, we just happened to be there at the same time." I said slowly

I choked on his words "celeste..."

"yes Berkshire?"

"I don't eat you hanging with him-"

"Enzo you already said that."

"celeste let me finish, please."

I nodded.

he removed his arm from my shoulder and backed up so he was facing me.

"I- I don't want you to hang out with him anymore, because I don't want you hanging out with any boy, and I don't want anything bad happening to you okay?"

"Lorenzo I understand but why?"

"go dammit celeste I like you! I like you okay? I don't want you with any guys, just me. mine. that's it. I don't want you to get hurt and I need you to be safe okay?" he blurted out

I froze. "you- you like me? I-"

"just forget I said anything" he said and started walking away

"Enzo wait" I grabbed his hand and spun him towards me. I leaned in to kiss him. he kissed me back.

I pulled away from our kiss "Enzo I've liked you since forever" I laughed

"you have?" he responded

I nodded.

"well, what now?" he asked

I took his hands "I don't know Berkshire, you tell me"

he looked at me "you'll be my girlfriend" 

I nodded and he hugged me.
