Ch.2 "Fighting For What's Right"

The next day after orientation and the duel of Crowler vs Jaden school had finally started and so has the day with Slifer Red Syrus Truesdale vs Chazz Princeton of Obelisk Blue. The two duelists activate their duel disks and draw their cards

In the Slifer Red dorms, Jaden puts away the deck he would have used in his duel against Crowler but forgot it and one card can be seen as he puts it away, Yubel. Jadens takes out his new deck and looks at his cards, admiring the card art more than their effects. The door opens and a man with black hair carrying a cat in his arms, Professor Lionel Banner.

Banner: Ah so this is the dorm where the golden boy is.

Banner chuckles and lifts up his glasses

Jaden: Oh hey there sir, what's up? Did ya need anything from me?

Banner: I wanted to ask you where your bunkmate was.

Jaden: Uhh..

Jaden looks around and on the top bunk but sees no sign of his bunk mate

Jaden: Sorry professor but I don't know where he is

This puts a front on Banners face and he strokes his cat

Banner: Oh that's not good.

Jaden: Why not?

He asks with a confused look

Banner: Slifer Reds are often ridiculed by the other students of higher ranks so they group up to stay safe.

Jaden: Oh man that's tough. I think I'll go look for my bunk mate

Banner: You better take a friend with you Jaden

Jaden nods and goes to the dorm next to him and pounds on the door. It swings open revealing a shirtless Dante who looks like he had just been sleeping

Dante:*yawn* Yeah...?

Jaden: I'm trying to look for my bunk mate...uhhh

Banner: Syrus Truesdale

Jaden: Yeah him. Can you help me out Dante?

Dante slams the door shut and Jaden pouts but it swings back open again with Dante dressed and wide awake

Dante: Yeah man sure! I'll help ya out!

Jaden: Uh how did you-

Dante grabs Jaden by his shirt collar and drags him off leaving Banner there to laugh at his freshman students

We cut back to the duel between Syrus and Chazz with the spectators being Obelisk Blue students Zane Truesdale and Alexis Rhodes as well as Slifer Red students Blair Flanagan and Rosie Amagi who had her arms crossed as if she didn't want to be there

Chazz: Okay! Light and Darkness Dragon! Attack with Darkbright Beam!!

Chazz's dragon attacks Syrus directly, winning him the duel. Zane looks down at his little brother and shakes his head

Rosie: Hm of course he would have lost. He has no idea how to play this game. That's why he's in Slifer Red.

Blair: Aren't you in Slifer Red with us too?

Rosie: Don't...remind me..

Rosie says through her teeth angrily at Blair

Chazz: You lose slacker! Now hand over the card!

Syrus reluctantly gives Chazz his Powerbond spell card to which he laughs at Chazz and chastises him for losing and playing so poorly until Jaden comes in and shoulder checks Chazz and knocks him to the dirt
