"i'm sorry, i can't take you out on regular dates anymore," dohyun sighs, looking at me.

"no, this is actually fine," i smiled up at him.

we just finished the harry potter series in a matter of a day. it was now getting dark, but i didn't want to leave his side yet.

"you know i can't risk getting you in danger, so i really hope you understand." he pouts which made my heart flutter and a smile crept up my face.

"dohyun," i called, which made him look at me. "in this three months shit we've been, i don't think i've ever been on danger." i chuckle, "so i want you to stop worrying. hell, you even got me into a self defense class." we both chuckled and smiled at each other.

he suddenly pulls me to his chest, so i let my head rest on it. i feel him land a soft kiss at the crown of my head, fireworks yet still bursting on my stomach even after months of being with him.

"its getting late, should i drive you home?" dohyun breaks the comfortable silence, brushing my hair lovingly.

"its okay," i pout, reluctant to leave. "you can rest. its enough you gave me a day when you probably have tons of works to do," i smile reassuringly. "you can let kang or anyone drive me home."

as if he read my mind, he lets out a smile.

"you know, its still kind of early." he grabs my hand, "i can't take you on a proper date but we can go on a drive?" he asks, eyes full of hope.

as if i just met him again, i can't stop the fluttering showing on my face, smiling giddily.

"but are you okay with that?" i asked once again to make sure. "i mean, we can just stay at home and watch more, so that you can rest too or whatever," i nod to let him see that i'm literally okay with anything.

"oh darling, you are my home." he cheekily says and pinches my cheek.

i squeal and hit him lightly but repeatedly on the arm, showing the biggest smile on my face.

when i finally stop my dolphin squeal, he drags me outside his mansion after talking to kang and some of his men.

i looked at his car and slowly walked over to it, but dohyun was only looking at me.

"what?" i asked, and he showed me a key.

"i was thinking of taking the motorbike," he smirks, dangling the keys in his soft fingers.

"i forgot for a day that you were a mafia gang's boss," i mumbled to which he chuckled to. "there's no fucking way i'm getting on there, lee dohyun." i grimaced at the sight of the dangerous, double-wheeled motorbike, looking back at dohyun.

dohyun just drags me to it, and puts his hands on my shoulder.

"you'll be okay, trust me," he winks and gets his helmet, then another one. he looks at it briefly and if i wasn't mistaken, brushing his thumb over it and heaves a small sigh.

finally, he hands it to me with a smile. i shrug the thought off, the image of me riding the motorbike in front of me taking over.

"we don't know about that, dohyun. its my first-," he puts the helmet on me and i hunch my shoulders.

"there's always a first time in everything. you don't need to worry, love." he shakes the helmet lightly and finally gets on.

i just stared at him, still scared. he lets out his hand, and after a few seconds, i sigh, taking his hand as he assisted me get on the motor bike.

"you shouldn't complain about me literally crushing your ribs later, lee dohyun." i mutter as he revs the engine.

"honey i don't think i ever will when its you." he chuckles and before he drove off, i hit his helmet lightly.

i held on tight, i think i might actually crush his ribs at this point. but then he drove off to this, cool, empty bridge that has a very exquisite view, making my fear all go away and loosen my grip on the man.

"its so pretty.." i mumbled, but despite the roaring of the bike, dohyun heard it.

"not as much as you," i can almost feel his smirk, "would you like to stop for a while?" he asks and i instantly nodded. he stopped somewhere dark, but still the view intact.

"this is so pretty," i let the air hug me, and i immediately shivered. nonetheless, a smile on face, leaning at the railing.

"yeah so are you," he mutters and takes off his bomber jacket that i forgot to say he looks hot on, to let it lay on my shoulders.

"thank you," i mumble and burrow myself more on his scent. "this is nice," i smile, taking in the cool night's air.

"you like it that much?" he gives a low chuckle, then stares at me rather than the view. i give him a nod and pushed his face away, but he takes my hand to his and pushes me towards him, giving me a back hug. "now this is what you call nice," he tightens his hold which was now my turn to chuckle.

"and i'm not complaining," i mutter.

it was a few minutes of silence, a very comforting, beautiful silence. until he suddenly flinches away from me, looking down.

"is something wrong?" i ask, taking a step towards him.

"no.." he trails off. "nothing's wrong." he gives off that smile again which made me smile and sigh of relief. "something just crossed my mind. no need to worry," he brushes his hair back.

but when i was about to take another step towards him, he steps back, and looks away to his motorbike.

"i think we should go, its getting kind of late, hyerin." he smiles and leaves you on the railings.

did i mutter something wrong while it was quiet?

i furrowed my eyebrows, but nonetheless followed him.

the heavy feeling of my heart carried on, i couldn't even hold on tight on him because i might pull something on him again that may make him change attitude in a blink of an eye again. the drive was as slow as it may take, the atmosphere between the small space between me and dohyun getting heavier and heavier.

fortunately before i even burst of why's and what's, i was already home.

"i'm sorry if i said or did something wrong," i mumbled, handing the helmet back to him and jumping off of the bike.

"you didn't, it was just me." he plays with the helmet, and stares at it. "you should go inside, hyerin." he smiles and his eyes found its way to the two bodyguards who was outside our house. he nods at them and puts his helmet back on.

i pout as he didn't give me a kiss on the forehead like he always does, but maybe he really wasn't in the mood.

"okay.." i fiddled with my fingers. "drive safe, goodnight." i smiled at him and watched him drive off.

maybe i'm just the one acting weird. no biggie.
