kang hasn't uttered a word for you the whole night, either his eyes are wandering around the room for the target, or someone else, or looking for a possible exit.

"kang, are you okay?" you placed your hand on his arm, trying to calm him. he just gave you a simple hum and sipped on his wine, trying to appear calmed even though he's obviously not. "what are you so worried for?" you asked, sighing. but you either, your heart was running miles. seeing kang so distraught and remembering their conversation awhile ago did no good.

"fuck it," you heard him mumble and he finally faced you, getting rid of your ear bud quickly as well as his. you just looked at him confused and with your mouth slightly open, trying to form words but nothing came out. "if i ask you to run away with me this instant, what would you say?" he grips on your hand lightly, looking straight to your eyes.

you were about to laugh, supposed to laugh- because finally, he was making you feel better by joking around. but no, to your dismay, he was serious, which is why you gave him a small why, instead of asking him if he was out of his mind, blinking rapidly. 

"because this is probably the only chance we'll get," he deadpanned, his stare turning ice cold once again. 

"i.. i don't know," was the only thing that came out of your mouth, holding the stare. your eyebrows furrowed, trying to read through the lines as you faintly hear dohyun's shouts through the buds that were in kang's hands.

he doesn't hand it back, instead puts it in his pocket and lands a peck on your temple, then  continues to look around. after securing the target- which was uncannily kim hyunsuk once again, you three talked about these deals and that, more like kang and the man, and you just stood there, rethinking of what kang has just said and the conversation he shared with dohyun.

"i'll see you again soon miss," mr. kim looks on your way and you perk up, smiling at him. suddenly, kang grabs your wrist in no time and drags you through the kitchen, obviously picking up his pace without uttering a word. 

simply, you just followed him. your gut told you so, and besides, kang's grip was strong. 

"kang, can you just please tell me what's happening?" you mumbled as you lift your dress up to catch up to him, but you get no response, making you sigh. "kang.." you try once again, trying to escape his grip. as he reaches the door and getting ready to sprint with you, he is stopped by 2 oddly familiar men- dohyun's.

"shit," he mutters as his eyes flicker for what you see was fear for a second, before turning into a glare. "well, aren't i fucked," he smirks as he lets go of your hand, letting out a huff of annoyance.

he glares back- not at you, but further to give someone a raise of eyebrow and his growing smirk then trails his eyes to yours.

he turns to you and leans to match your level, "trust me, and wait for me." he whispers, and you knew that time that you had to- you need to. he ruffles your hair and sighs, before letting himself get dragged by the two men.

you stood there baffled, until another odd familiar man walked up to you.

"boss wants me to take you home," and he leads you the way to the car, seeing it was parked beside kang's.

"oh.. can i wait for kang, at least?" you ask, hesitating to go inside the car he opened for you. "i think he just went to talk with some of your friends.. uh," you stammered, eyes looking everywhere for a sign of kang.

"boss wants you immediately." he smiles after listening to his bud for instructions, opening the car further, until you finally give in after a last look around you and driving off.

on the way home, you have been unconsciously fiddling with your fingers with your long nails and if it weren't for the blood dripping from it, you wouldn't have known. your hands were sweaty- you convinced yourself hard that you were nervous for no reason.

and dohyun did convince you.

"hey, you did great today." he welcomes you back home with his arms wide open and a warm smile spread on his lips. you slowly went to his embrace, sniffing his scent to try and calm you down. as if he felt your heart beating its way out of your chest, he looked down at you. "everything's fine, hyerin. kang's just being a bitch so my men went to make him take some fresh air," he smiles and magically, everything was okay.

"where'd they take him?" you ask before letting dohyun slightly pull you inside the mansion.

"where else," he chuckles. "his family's grave." he gives you a smile as you saw a glint of something you can't point out in his tone and eyes. he sighs as you tail him to your room, closing it afterwards. 

he pulls you to his embrace once again, enjoying the privacy while leaving wet kisses on your neck to your jaw.

"he's fine, hyerin. trust me," he breaks the hug and looks straight to your eyes, scrunching his nose which made you heart melt again. 

after smiling at him, you give him a chaste kiss that lasted for only a second only to be pulled back by dohyun once again for a passionate one. you quickly kissed him back, which later evolved into yes, fucking him all over again because he can't stop himself when you're wearing a dress that eventually drove him crazy.

"if this happens whenever i wear a dress then i should wear it more often," you chuckle as you snuggled more to his bare chest, his hands lightly caressing your bare back.

"if you didn't kiss me i could've held it back," he boops your nose. "and even if you aren't in a dress just tell me and your wish is my command." you both chuckle in each other's arms, talking about random things until you were dozing off. "hyerin," you hum as a response, closing your eyes. 

"trust me, and wait for me." 

you hear kang's voice at the back of your head, but you were to drowsy to care.

"let's take a proper, real date tomorrow, shall we?" dohyun mumbles as you nod, finally going to dreamland as the last thing you felt was his lips on the crown of your head, feeling ecstatic at the thought of the real date dohyun just proposed.
