Request: Can I please request an Adam oneshot where the reader (who lives with the Winchesters but is a researcher) helps Adam after he's pulled from the cage? And they pretty much fall in love with each other since the reader pretty much nurses Adam to health? Thanks! I'm positive you'll be a great writer for this blog!

Pairing: Adam x Reader

Warning: sort of PTSD, mentions of death and torture

A/N: This was so much longer than I thought it would be (it was intended to be only half the size it ended up) - sorry if it's not very good

You pulled a random lore book off the shelf as you walked over to your favourite seat at the table preparing to take notes, hoping that you could find something about the mark of Cain. After almost two hours you slumped back in your chair rubbing your wrists. You glanced at your watch. The boys would be another two hours at least. It was just a simple salt and burn a couple of states over, which you were grateful for. With Dean struggling with the mark of Cain he didn't need anything that could trigger it.

You walked back over to the shelves to grab another book when the door to the bunker opened. You froze, reaching for your demon blade, your eyes going wide as you remembered you left it on the table. You decided to brave it. After all, the bunker was warded against almost everything. You sighed in relief as you saw Cas, though it was short-lived as Dean and Sam walked through the door just after him... carrying a blond man between them who seemed to be unconscious.

"Who -?"

"We need to get him to a bed," Sam said urgently.

"He can use mine," you suggested. "Between the memory foam and the stone slab you guys sleep on and my normal bed, I think mine's probably best."

"Right," Dean agreed as they walked the stranger to your room.

"So... who is he?" You asked as they laid the man down on your bed.

Sam sighed as the both looked at you. "He's our brother, Adam."

Your eyes widened in shock. "What?!"

-

Sam and Dean had opened a couple of beers and you, them and Cas now sat around the table. "So..." You hesitated as you tried to decide which of the hundreds of questions you had that you would voice. "How is he back, I mean..."

"We don't actually know," Cas replied. "I don't know of any angels with enough power, after the fall."

You nodded. "So, uh, if he's been in hell for that long, being tortured, is he still able to come back from that? I remember when Sam's wall broke down..."

"I'm not sure. I can't shift it like I did with Sam either. He's much worse than Sam, and I'm far less powerful."

You all sat in silence for a few minutes before Sam and Dean finished their beers and them and Cas left the room to go check on Adam. You sighed and opened the book again, barely registering the words as you slowly began to fall asleep.

-

"No!" The loud scream erupted through the bunker, waking you up, causing you to wince at the pain in your neck from not sitting properly while you slept. "Get away!"

Your mind suddenly flooded with the memories of what happened and you rushed to your room to see what was going on.

"Adam! Calm down, it's not real!" Sam yelled as he and Dean held their brother down by his shoulders as he thrashed about. Cas had his hands resting on Adam's head, trying to soothe him with his grace. You stood watching helplessly from the doorway as this continued for almost ten minutes before Adam settled down enough for the brothers to lift their hands from his shoulders. All except Adam looked over at you wearily. Sam spoke first. "We'll set up a bed in a spare room for you to sleep in tonight."
