"welcome to my silly life"
( Chapter 8 )
DECEMBER 25TH ROLLED AROUND FASTER THAN AURORA WOULD'VE LIKED. It had been a week since Harry and Aurora's argument and Aurora's mind still couldn't help but think the worst. Although all was meant to be forgiven, she couldn't help but let her thoughts take over. She wouldn't blame the boy for hating her, but she hated the most feeling like everything was now fake.
Aurora was gently shook awake, by an excited Hermione. She leaned over her in an attempt to wake up the girl. "Rora, wake up it's Christmas" she whispered, her eyes scanning the girls face, even though she was asleep she still managed to look beautiful.
In response she got a groan and a mumble that made out "let me go back to sleep."
Sighing, Hermione pulled the covers off the girl. A louder groan filled the dorm as the teenager slowly got up and headed straight to the bathroom.
Aurora fixed her hair slightly but decided against getting dressed before heading downstairs to the common room in an oversized t-shirt and shorts. Hermione followed after slightly giggling at the lack of enthusiasm from the girl.
When she made it down to the common room she laid down on the sofa, head in Harrys lap, feet in Rons. The boys shared knowing looks trying to stifle their laughter at her sleepy state.
"wait, is that my t-shirt Rory?" Harry suddenly exclaimed, noticing the fabric that the girl was wearing was the t-shirt he had been looking for, for days.
"mhm" she hummed, barely awake.
He was going to tell her to start asking him before stealing all of his clothes, but he liked it. Not that he would ever admit that to anyone. He also didn't say anything because he knew she wasn't listening as she was still half asleep, so instead he combed his fingers through her hair.
"Can we open presents now?" Ron asks excitedly, he was like a child. He was practically jumping with excitement as he looked at all the presents under the tree.
It had been a tradition since their first year, that they all open presents together.
Their first Christmas together Aurora had been confused as to why everyone had gifts, she had never celebrated Christmas before so when Harry, Ron and Hermione gave their gifts to her and explained the meaning of it she felt terrible that she hadn't got them anything.
Aurora had bought Ron some chocolate frogs and liquorice wands that she had persuaded Draco to buy for her when he went to Hogsmeade. She had also bought him a framed photo of the quartet, charmed to move. Aurora had then bought Hermione some of her personal favourite muggle books and some fizzing whizzbees. Then lastly she bought Harry a golden snitch personalised with their initials engraved into it and some chocolate frogs.
