"please, don't leave me now"

( tw- mentions of eating disorders )
( chapter 10 )

AURORA WALKED TO THE LIBRARY AFTER WALKING OUT OF THE GREAT HALL. She sat next to a second year named Luna Lovegood to distract herself from her hunger. She just couldn't bring herself to eat, the thought of eating in front of the whole great hall made her anxious and shaky. She couldn't do it, so she pretended to until someone noticed. Luna was helpful in bringing her a distraction, although the platinum haired girl could sense that Aurora was upset she didn't want to question it and upset the girl even more.

Choosing to move on from her thoughts Aurora turned to the blonde, and smiled. "How are you Luna?" She asked sweetly, the ravenclaw had always been kind to Aurora. They started speaking when Aurora was in her second year, she was helping Luna find her shoes that someone had hidden around the castle and they spoke occasionally ever since.

"I'm okay I suppose, I find trouble keeping the company of the girls in my dorm. Or anyone in my house for that matter. They think I'm a bit odd, you know. Some people call me 'Loony Lovegood' actually" The girl said, looking unfazed by the matter. Although it upset Aurora that people had been bullying her when she was genuinely a lovely person. Luna never knew that her year were actually bullying her, she was too busy seeing the good in people to see how others treated her.

The pair sat studying in the library for about an hour before Aurora declared she was going back to her common room, waving her goodbyes to Luna she wandered the hall before whispering the password to the portrait. Aurora found comfort in the hallways of Hogwarts, the stone walls were comforting and she had the freedom to roam wherever she wanted whenever she wanted.

Sitting down on the sofa the girl was staring into the fireplace lost in her thoughts. Once the distractions had come to an end, her mind became overwhelmed with the problems she had been hiding herself from. It was easy for her to get lost in her thoughts, she just had so much to think about. She found comfort in believing she would've shared this trait with her mother who Remus had told her she was so much alike with.

Harry entered the portrait to the common room. He set his eyes on Aurora who was too busy thinking to notice the Potter boys presence. He slowly edged towards her, her eyes didn't move as she was too deep into her thoughts.

Snapping his fingers in the girls face finally caught her attention, she smiled at the boy who offered her his hand to which he pulled her up off the sofa. Harry then twirled her under his arm and then pulled her back into his chest, butterflies swarmed the pairs stomachs but neither cared to move. Harry was slightly taller and leant his head on her shoulder to mumble in her ear, asking if she was okay.

She nodded, although it was unconvincing. She found herself subconsciously leaning into Harry's touch as a way to seek comfort from the boy without speaking to him.
