"The princess is what?" Yeji snapped.
"Gone. No sign of struggle or blood, so she wasn't kidnapped or injured."
"Well thank god, should we just go to sleep now?"
"Was that sarcasm?"
"Yes, you-"
"Yeji, relax."
Yeji rubbed her temples furiously, "That girl. She has so many things planned tomorrow. And so many events to-aish. It doesn't matter. What is important now is we find her."
"I've checked the garden, the main hall, every corridor we have. She's not there."
"What if she's hiding from us?"
'You idiot she's all grown up!"
Yeji glared daggers at Soobin. "And you lost her. You were the one on duty with her!" She said, her voice laced with surprise and anger. Soobin nervously turned to look at Yeonjun, then flicked his eyes back to the captain. "Yes?" He whispered weakly. Yeji's eyes flashed murderously, yanking a knife out.
Yeonjun slipped in front of Soobin quickly. "Woah, Yeji, it has only been an hour, she couldn't have gone far-"
Yeji dropped her arm, "But it doesn't make sense! She was in the garden, the guards and servants confirmed it, the cameras proved it. She couldn't have left unless she broke a window and jumped, which she did not. We checked dozens of times. Gosh, I swear-"
"Maybe we shouldn't worry too much yet, " Jisu cut off as she hurried in. "For now, what are we gonna tell her parents?" Yeji looked like she was contemplating leaping out of the nearest window. "I'm gonna check again," The girl decided, "Yeonjun, tell them she's missing for now, and that we are searching." With that, the captain of the Royal Guard rushed down the hallway. Jisu pinched her nose bridge, closing her eyes. "That princess- Her parents are going to be livid-"
They froze as the nearest television screen mounted on the wall flickered to life- an emergency call.
"All royal guards, please proceed to his Majesty's chambers now."
Yeonjun clenched his jaw and they sprinted off towards the chamber's direction.
